The Republic of Tea has a wonderful selection of teas, each with their own unique aroma and taste, all priced affordably for the quality and quantity. Their Get Clean tea is no exception. Let's put all the claims of what it does for you aside and look at the tea blend itself. That is what matters to me personally the most. I want a good tasting tea that has a unqiue and interesting taste and smell, everything else is just extra. Get Clean delivers on this with a nice caramel smell and taste up front and some fruity and floral tastes and smells on the back end. It's just strong enough to remind you that you are drinking a good quality tea, while not being too overpowering. The caramel overtones almost trick your brain into thinking it has been sweetened but it hasn't. And if you do want to sweeten it, a little honey or similar is a perfect match. I also find that a touch of lime adds a nice extra layer of flavour to it, but I like it plain over all. The price is where some people get tripped up, sure you can go buy cheaper teas that give you 100-200 bags for less, or buy a similar smelling/tasting bulk tea and reduce your cost per cup, but why would you? They have done their research and created a perfect blend. I have purchased many teas over the years, paid lots of money for fancy blends, and bought super cheap bags in bulk and I go back to The Republic of Tea's products for the quality and taste every time. I also love that the contents of each bag are so aromatic that once you've brewed a cup, you can leave the bag in the cup and brew another cup that is still quite delicious, or add a fresh bag in and let both create a nice strong cup. And, when you are done, just dry the bags and toss them into your trash can for a nicely scented trash bin. I also find that if you cut open the used bags and put it into your disposal, but don't run it or run any water, it makes a foul smelling sink smell wonderful. I've also taken the dried used bags and put them in my car to make it smell nice as well. You don't see that on the tin or instructions. As far as their detoxing claims, you can take that how you will. You've already got a very delicious cuppa in your hands, so anything beyond that is just a bonus right? I'm not a doctor, I don't know what can detox what in our bodies. I do know this, if I am drinking a cup of tea, I am putting nutrients and antioxidants into my system that I wouldn't be if I was drinking water. And I know that I feel happy and satisfied when drinking the tea. So like I said, any extra benefits, real or imagined, well they are just a bonus. If you want to get clean, you are going to have to eat healthy too, it's not just about what tea you drink or what supplements you take. So if you drink this tea, or any other for that matter, and eat a healthy, body friendly diet, you will get clean regardless. It's delicious. That is what counts to me.

I recently cut out caffeine entirely from my daily routine. Wanted to switch to a non-caffeinated tea that also helps detox and cleanse the body. Came across the Get Clean tea and decided to give it a try. Before the switch, I was feeling sluggish and felt like my body needed a good cleansing from all the greasy foods and junk that has built up inside. I was also suffering from constipation for a couple months. I just felt "off". Fast forward to 2 months later, drinking a cup every morning and evening after dinner. I'm truly feeling more awake and energetic now, have healthy bowel movements again, sleeping much better at night and overall just feeling healthier and lighter on my feet. Recently had full bloodwork done and all my numbers were normal and looking good. Can't say for sure if the tea helped but this was the first time in many years my bloodwork came back with normal cholesterol levels and normal blood pressure. The taste is great too, like a woodsy vanilla taste. Price is a little high but I'm willing to pay for my well-being and health. I love it.

In my quest to try all of Republic of Tea's "Get ___" herbal teas, this was the second one I tried (after "Get Gorgeous"), and like "Get Gorgeous" it is one of the few I've tasted that I'll buy again. I was mainly interested in "Get Clean" because of its purported liver-detoxing properties, as problems with the liver have been associated with poor skin. I have been trying to develop a healthy lifestyle that will help me overcome the persistent mild-to-moderate acne I've had for many years, and so far my changes have made a significant difference. One of my changes has been to reduce caffeine intake (i.e., give up coffee and begin to replace caffeinated teas with herbal teas), drink more water (herbal tea helps me achieve this goal), and drink specifically skin-beneficial teas. What I especially like about "Get Clean" in comparison to other teas I've seen recommended for clear skin is that it contains a nice mixture of multiple beneficial herbs. For example, I drink plain dandelion root tea regularly for its liver-detoxing and skin-clearing properties, but I don't have readily available any plain milk thistle or burdock root tea. "Get Clean" contains all three and yet lacks the strong, bitter taste of some plain medicinal teas due to its lovely rooibos base tinged with almond and vanilla. Also, I think you will like "Get Gorgeous" and "Get Clean" almost interchangeably; I take a baggie of tea bags to work every day to sip, and if they are not individually packaged, I smell them briefly to determine which is the one I'm looking for. Whereas I can easily smell the differences between "Get Happy," "Get a Grip," "Get Lost," etc., I cannot smell the difference between "Get Clean" and "Get Gorgeous." You can enjoy them both if you like one or the other. :)

...the whole thing and I thought I was getting a "diet" get clean type of tea. Not the general liver and kidney cleansing tea. There is no caffeine and it's a pleasant tea flavor.
