Chaco Men's Zcloud 2 Sandal

This is my first pair of Chacos, I had a pair of Tevas for a while prior. The buckle placement and coarse nylon of the Tevas gave me blisters nearly every hike. I have had no such problem with these Chacos- already attempted 3, 2+ mile hikes. Love the design and ease of adjusting both forefoot and midfoot straps. Much more support relative to Tevas, but good lord these are heavy. The support has fine cushion and I understand the shock absorption/durability purposes, but look at what Nikes and Adidas have accomplished with far more materials, support, and durability! Yet somehow my sandals now weigh as much as my basketball shoes. No reason for these to be as heavy as they are for the price. Get your cushion game up, Chacos.

The straps are too short. Every other chacos I tried has long strap but this one doesn’t. I’ll try to return.

No matter how many times I readjusted the straps, I could not get them to stay in place. I would walk 100 feet and the ankle strap would loosen and the toe strap would tighten and cut off my circulation. I don't know if my pair was defective or if this is a common problem with Chacos. I really wanted to like these shoes but they proved to be too uncomfortable and I returned them.

LOVING these Chalcos. I’ve been wearing a size 4 pair of kids Chalcos for years. Love the fit & adored the price. Decided to try the toe wrap & what a game changer that is. So much better for hiking especially down hills & in the rain. These now accompany daily on the boat as they are so supportive, so comfortable. If I could only take one pair of sandals/shoes on a trip, this would be it as they can go from day into night, from zip lining & cave floating in Belize to walking or riding golf cart or scooter out for dinner. Not fancy but can get away w it w my black ones. I’ve purchased a couple of prints & stripes since I’m. Ow retired and wearing them daily.
