Yes. Be careful to keep the formating that your phone or tablet did to the MicroSD card. If your computer asks you to format the MicroSD card, then the card's format is incompatible with your computer. If you already have data on the MicroSD card, do not format it or you will lose that data.

Blake, Kingston MobileLite Duo 3C USB reader may become warm during extended data transfers between inserted memory card and host computer, but should not become too hot to the touch. Try multiple memory cards in the reader to possibly narrow it down to one particular card, and try the reader in different computers to isolate potential system issues.
