Stick with this Delta-branded adapter
1) Works greatIn fact - the touch function is more sensitive and reliable now (to both turn on and turn off).2) A bit pricey for a Chinese product.But....3) I tried a cheaper generic product I found on Amazon specifically for this purpose, but it failed.4) Even at tens of cents per AA battery, you could potentially run for years before you spent the money these cost.5) See my pictures. The body of the adapters hang to the left (if you have standard outlet orientation with earth GND at bottom). I had a cabinet wall next to left side of my outlet so I had to flip my outlet vertically. No biggie. Now my technical guesses/comments for those who have insomnia.6) To be fair - these are AC to DC adapters. They are not marketed as noise filters. Filters require large capacitors which take up space. To be practical, these supplies can only be so large (like many other adapters on the market). This way they don't eat up the whole outlet face (and obscure a 2nd outlet). All the people complaining that these have problems with other equipment running should understand that. These likely have just enough capacitance to smooth out the ripple after the bridge rectifier, but may not clean up all noise kicked back from noisy motors or equipment on the same branch. If you suspect you have a noise issue, contact Delta for their advice on filtering. It's a fair question.7) Just a hunch, but my guess is that these perform better than batteries for two reasons. A) The voltage is always (relatively) the same (battery voltages drop after use. B) When the solenoid valve is energized the inrush current will also drop a battery voltage slightly (below 1.5V each). Not as much with a good adapter. I have not verified these ideas yet, but it's clear the adapters are so far outperforming the 3 years of battery performance I became accustomed to.8) Check your faucet age/version/instructions or check with Delta regarding if you can keep batteries installed in parallel (in case you lose power). That's how I'm running and it seems great so far.Good luck! I'm really happy with these so far.

It works as advertised, and may fix your "phantom faucet" at least for a time...
Delta touch faucet technology is a work in progress. If you run into the "phantom touch" problem with it going off all by itself, or the battery devour problem where batteries last two weeks or less, or the "angry touch" problem where it won't turn on or off with regular touches but does turn on and off randomly - you may have landed here looking for a solution.Once you report any of the above problems to Delta, you need to be prepared for a journey into the Twilight Zone. You'll hear fantastic tales of exotic battery chemistry (are they really alkaline, silver oxide??? Try a different type....) and impossible requirements for wire positions that would confound a bomb technician (make sure no wire is within 6 inches of any other wire, yes I know you only have 4 inches of clearance under your kitchen cabinet) and conflicting requirements (yes I know the battery pack has a mounting hole in the back but it must be resting on the floor of the cabinet rather than mounted to the wall). You'll also be asked to perform photography which may require lighting, angles, and fields of view which would be difficult in a perfect laboratory environment - much less the bottom of your kitchen cabinet were you likely have less space to work than any other place in your home that requires regular maintenance.Almost like magic however, if you connect this A/C adapter (and they make certain to point out how important the ground wire is for this installation) all of the problems go away and it works great - for about a month. Oddly the old problems may return, and at that point you'll need a new kit that replaces the touch sensor and solonid. So why 5 stars with all the trouble? None of the craziness associated with the Delta touch faucets many of those of us who own them know so well arenthe fault of this A/C adapter. The part itself dutifully and faithfully converts 120V 60hz A/C into the DC voltage needed by the delta faucet. Also, it seems to solve the various "phantom" problems described above at least for some, for at lest a short amount of time.Good luck! Just keep in mind if you are buying this to try to fix your "phantom faucet" problems as the latest in a long line of exotic batteries and acrobatic wire positions and are hoping this is going to finally resolve it, the victory may be short lived....

Works great, a little pricy, but sometimes you want quality and that costs more
My Touch 2O faucet seemed to eat AA batteries (I had to replace them every couple of months). That got old (and expensive) quickly. I decided to invest in an AC adapter so I could stop wasting money on batteries. The adapter was easy to install and worked perfectly. The thing I see most in the reviews as a negative is the price. A couple of thoughts on that, yeah you can probably find some knock off that will work, but you're installing this in an area where coming into contact with water is a possibility. I'd rather not die, so the $30 vs. the $10 I can get a knock off for seemed to make sense. To begin with, most knock offs are two-prong, not three. That means a lack of grounding, bad idea for a wet environment (on top of that make sure you're installing into a GFCI outlet). Second, I've had adapters that I ordered on eBay and other sites importing from China get very hot, melt, and short out. Again, a bad combination when there is a possibility of water under my sink. While yes, I could probably have found it cheaper, but I feel safer knowing this is an manufacturer approved part and is much less likely to cause me issues. Additionally, I know Delta stands behind their products if I run into any issues down the road.

Plug in and use
Instructions provided with adapter say battery pack is required, but battery pack is only hard wired into the switch. The battery pack can be removed and the battery connector left to hang without batteries.
