SHI BA ZI ZUO 7 Inch Cleaver Knife for Chopping Bones and Cutting Meat

This is kind of a medium weight cleaver. Mine came in at 428g.The fit and finish is better than expected and feels like a higher end knife that the cost would suggest.Nice sharp edge with a uniform bevel. Handle matches the tang perfectly and is smooth and comfortable.Got it mostly for cutting acorn and spaghetti squash and so far has accomplished that goal well. The thick blade tends to split the vegetables towards the end if it sinks all the way in, but this was expected.

I’ve been searching for a nicely weighted cleaver that can be used to cut through poultry bones and this is it! I was able to quickly take apart a roasted duck and carve up fairly thin pieces as well. A bonus is that now my husband won’t continue using my vegetable cleaver to chop through chicken bones.

Have been using it for over a week. We cook almost every day and it is such a big help when we have to chop meat, especially pork belly, into small pieces.

Veggies beware, you don't stand a chance against this well made knife.

The cleaver isn’t sharp out of box, it failed on paper test. However it was pretty good cutting chicken drumsticks. I think sharping angle is too thick for slicing but could be good for chopping small bones.
