Black Holes & Time Warps: Einstein's Outrageous Legacy : Thorne, Kip: desertcart.ae: Books Review: Interesante y entretenido Review: This is a great book for people with minimal knowledge going into the subject. While some of the writing is very technical, it is broken up with numerous anecdotes and examples that add some humor and life into the subject. Its a great book with lots of interesting and funny stories about the scientists involved, making it really engaging and uniquely voiced. The first chapter alone is worth the read-- detailing an accurate portrayal of what exploring black holes might look like in a sci-fi future. The rest of the book is not so fantastical, focusing on the advancements in our understanding of Black Holes and Relativity vs. Quantum Theory, but even that was really brought to life and fun to read. It was also incredibly informative, but it felt very light compared to the absolute plethora of information it contained. I would say, however, a background in physics is probably helpful, but not required to understand the vast majority of the book. Only a couple of topics required a google search for me to understand if I was confused. (For reference, I've had only a couple of physics classes in High School and College and I could keep up with it pretty easily.)

Jag är en stor fan av Kip Thorne, och så långt jag hittills har läst boken (ca 20%), har jag inte blivit besviken.
