SEYMOUR 620-1433 Industrial MRO High Solids Spray Paint, Flat Black

I've used MRO flat black and yellow paints and I've been impressed so far. The paint coverage is excellent. After 2-3 coats you have a good looking and durable finish. It does take a surprisingly long time to cure, however. It dries to the touch in a couple of hours, but the finish is still pretty soft and will scratch easily for a day or more. I would err on the side of giving it a weak to cure before putting it through any hard use. I attempted to bake cure in a dehydrator (sub 200 degree F temperature), but that results in wrinkles in the finish, so I do not recommend that. I swear that the yellow has a hint of banana smell Overall, the paint works well.

I used it to paint my replacement already-painted diving board base for extra protection before installing. Really worked well and the spray can never clogged or ‘spit’. Nice, even spray.

I usually try not to write bad reviews about products unless the customer service sucks or the product sucks. For this one it's the latter. Let me start off by saying I've been rattle canning for a while. I got plenty of painted projects I've done with rattle cans. I tried this brand because it has tons of great reviews; plus, the end result looks amazing. I unfortunately did not have the same experience. So I made sure to follow all the directions. I even have a rattle can machine that shakes my cans for me. After spraying the primer, I expected this stuff to be about the same spray pattern as the same branded primer. That was a fail... Once I started laying down some paint, I started thinking my pointer finger was getting tired. I could barely press the sprayer. I realized it wasn't me. It was the freakin sprayer. Even finger lifting champion couldn't press that nozzle down for extended periods of time. I tried my best but it came out terrible. I was getting drips of paint on my project and the spray pattern itself was super narrow. I must have gotten a bad batch but man was I disappointed. I'm literally writing this as the paint is drying. That's how mad I am about this stuff. Hopefully everyone else has better luck but I'm sticking with other brands from now on....

High quality, no sag, fuel resistant. It requires some time to get fully cured. The only negative side is, the paint is in a lighter tone compared to what you see on the cap.

Worked excellent to prep the rusty areas on my car hauler roof before elastomeric coating. I wire brushed with a large wire cup on a variable speed car buffer, thoroughly wiped down with solvent and applied 2 coats. It had excellent coverage in this instance, best of any rattle can I've ever used. I purchased 3 cans and only used 1 because it covered so well.
