Warm w/o bulk. Wore with boots on a winter trip to France & feet were perfectly warm—of course we walked a lot-so comfy & not itchy.

Best socks I've ever owned! Not tight, but don't slip down from calf. Very comfortable, and warm with no bulk. And they look good for formal wear. Only downside is they recommend hand washing. I washed in cold water on delicate cycle and they came out fine.
