I’m so in love. I’ve been stressing out about my hair. The grays had taken over and I just let them do their thing because I was NOT going to do the usual permanent dye thing again. I had been using the temporary solution of coloring the gray with those little crayon thingys and having that rub off was stressing me out almost as much as the gray. But avoiding toxic chemicals was my priority. Thankfully, the Surya Brasil henna cream did the job! The dark brown came out nice and dark on my grays and my hair is looking nice and natural. I absolutely love Surya Brasil Dark Brown Henna! My hair is 90% gray, and after being gray for over five years, I decided it was time for a change. I’ve been using this the past few years and notice it has much better coverage of greys than normal henna powder. No mixing necessary, the henna dye is much easier and faster to apply. Just like regular henna, i leave it in my hair for about 6 hours to take full effect. In the past i tried recommended time frame and it didn’t take to my hair. Washed out after the first wash. So now i leave for 6 hours. No ill effects from this. It fully takes to my hair and won’t fully wash out for about 2.5 months, which is how often i re-dye my hair anyway. It starts out rather dark and fades to a nice rich brown after a few washes. Buying on Amazon is usually cheaper than in store, but i do find that this brand can be found at most health food stores I’ve searched. I use griffin remedy color safe shampoo to maintain the color. I usually wash my hair 2 times per week so as to maintain the color longer, otherwise it might fade after about a month. I will continue buying this brand for the foreseeable future as all the other henna dye powders seem less effective on my greys. If you have a decent amount of grey, you will like this product. Just make sure to totally saturate down to the root and let sit for 6 hours. I know it’s annoying but i usually sleep with it in and put down an old towel to protect my bedding. Then i wake up and shower to rinse it out. Works like a charm.

I was a little reluctant but I had to change my dying my gray hair routine because my hair was breaking off at the ends and was so frizzy? So currently I only have gray hair at the roots and I watched the video that the company had to make sure I wasdoing it right and I left mine on for 65-70min with a shower cap and a cap hair dryer that attaches to your blow dryer for about 40min alternating between cool and warm. It is a little messy and did not come with a cap to cover the hair or gloves so be aware of it took a little while to rinse it out until the water was clear. Must be done on freshly washed damp hair with NO conditioner and no washing it with shampoo for a few days. It is a dye that is semi permanent so it will fade with time. That said I do have dark brown hair and got the dark brown color and it is a little darker than I usually like but still looks good and with the idea it will fade a little it will probably be ok. We'll see I may have to get the chocolate color next time. I have mid back length hair and almost used the entire bottle but not all of it. Next time I may use plastic wrap and wrap that around my head instead of the shower cap

It's easy to use, but the color doesn't stay. Very disappointed.

It really covers grays and doesn’t dry out. the scalp. Applied for 1hour and 20 minutes. Before I was using combination of henna and indigo, which stopped working for me. The color I have chosen was dark brown, it’s too dark for me, it’s getting a little lighter with washing. I am happy with that product and definitely will buy again, just a lighter shade

This henna product worked well to cover my gray hair and left my hair soft and healthy. The drawback is that it rubs off a lot on lights fabrics after applying and is still rubbing off a bit a full month after application. This happens just when my hair is wet after washing. For that reason I’m not sure I will choose to use it long term.
