is the item easy to use?

Very easy. You just clip it to the "ears" of your bag or sleeve and adjust it up to where you feel it comfortable.

Can this be attached to any pouch or does it need a pouch with a built in adapter?

I think you could attach it to the coloplast pouches but it might not stay put very well. Each brand has different shaped holes.

It's about 1 inch. I haven't found any wider so I make my own now and use the ends to attach. Hope that helps.

Is this belt latex free?

It's just elastic and plastic so I don't think there would be any latex. Maybe call Hollister for a sure answer. They have a toll free # on the internet.
