I havent tried this on my hands but i use it on my toe nails before i paint them. I havent had any issues. this is a lot like the oil they put on your nails in salons.

Q: Is this used for yellow nails?

Yes, yellowing of the nails is one of the signs of a fungal infection within the nail. Tea Tree Oil will clear that up. Depending on the severity of the nail fungus you can soak your feet in warm water with a few drops of tea tree oil in it. You can also wash your feet with soap and water, pat dry with a towel and rub the oil into the nail bed. You could also apply it using a clean nail polish brush. Tea tree oil also gets rid of athletes foot as well.
