SIGLENT SDS2104X Plus 4 Channel Digital Super Phosphor Oscilloscope 100 MHz 2 GSa/s 200 Mpts 10.1"

I'll update this review as I gain more experience with the scope. This is mainly my out-of-the-box experience. I'm an old retiree who had four semesters of physics in college decades ago and decided to treat myself to a nice scope in my old age. The scope arrived nicely packaged. The Quick Start instructions are well-written, well-illustrated, and very clear. The touch screen performs well and is incredibly bright. The Quick Start guide is written, however, for someone already familiar with the basics of oscilloscope operation (perhaps Siglent assumes only expert users would buy such a scope!). There are a ton of videos on the Internet by Siglent and others on how to set up a scope and use various probe combinations. I've found the Kindle book "How To Use An Oscilloscope" by Dennis Smith helpful in getting started. My only quibble with the product so far is that Siglent ought to provide more upfront mention in the Quick Start guide or elsewhere of the extensive Internet help they offer. Since improper probe grounding is an excellent way to ruin an oscilloscope, I was surprised, even with my limited knowledge of digital oscilloscopes, that Siglent didn't at least provide links to Internet materials on the basics of probe grounding to help users protect their expensive investment.

Wow! This oscilloscope is great ! Really love the remote control and monitoring via a built-in web server. Super convenient. allows us to share what we are seeing directly with a remote engineer. Saved a LOT of time. I think we will buy another one.

This oscilloscope is so amazing! This is all I need for my projects. It has everything I need. I tested decoding as shown in pictures, and it works perfect. I used SPI from Arduino, and I compared the programming code with what I was seen on the oscilloscope, they are all perfectly match. Finally, I don't have to think about oscilloscope anymore. This oscilloscope is more than enough for all my projects.

Light, well-built, reasonably quiet operation.

This is a wonderful oscilloscope. Accuracy is excellent, the screen is great too. So far, everything about using this scope has been awesome. I didn't think I would care about having a touch screen, but I actually really like it. It's so much simpler than fiddling around with side buttons on my previous scopes. Prior to this, I had the Siglent 1104X-E, and before that the Rigol 1054Z. Each one has been a big step up from the previous, and I'm very happy with the performance of the SDS2104X+. The one and only thing I don't like about it is the confirmation boxes that pop up. For example, if I click default or auto set, it asks me to confirm on the screen. This should be an optional setting, so if I want the confirmation box or not, I can choose. I sent a message to Siglent about this, and I hope they address this in a future firmware version. Though I suppose it is fairly nitpicky.

J'ai mis du temps à choisir mon oscilloscope et j'ai testé pas mal de marques. Au final cet instrument offre les meilleurs performances pour mes besoins. Construction robuste, réactivité, excellent écran, et super facile à utiliser sans pour autant ergoter sur les fonctionnalités. 2 points négatifs: Le générateur de fonctions est livré à l'essai et se bloque au bout d'un certain nombre d'utilisations pour vous forcer à acheter la mise à jour. Les sondes sont de mauvaise qualité. 2 sur 4 sont arrivées défectueuses (le switch x10 ne fonctionne pas). A ce prix on pourrait s'attendre à des sondes de qualité...

Das SDS2104X Plus ist das dritte Oszilloskop, welches ich mir zugelegt habe. Es bietet eine Vielzahl an Funktionen, dabei finde ich folgende besonders gut: Schnelles UI mit professionellem Design, dies wurde vom großen Bruder übernommen (SDS5000). Web-Server Oberfläche reagiert zeitgerecht und wird rein über die virtuelle Touch Oberfläche bedient. Farben der einzelnen Channels und Mathematischen Funktionen einstellbar. Formeleditor für mathematische Funktionen. Großzügiger Speicher 200 Mpts FFT mit Achsenbeschriftung und Max. Hold Funktion Folgendes ist verbesserungswürdig: Sehr schlechtes Intensity Grading Funktionsgenerator ohne AM, FM, usw... Single Shot nutzt nicht den gesamten Speicher auch nicht wenn dieser manuell eingestellt wird. Wünschenswert wäre: Dots und Color Grading für FFT Logische Verknüpfungen in Mathematischen Funktionen ||, &&, ^ Measure All Funktion

Das wahrscheinlich Beste Oszilloskop in dieser Preisklasse. Aber, wenn man vorhat es wieder zurückzusenden (aus welchen gründen auch immer), kauft es wo anders. Amazon war kurzgesagt hier eine Katastrophe.
