Fake have the stamp too, just so you know. Often they're non-magnetic stainless so a magnet won't pick them up and plated to fool a scratch/acid test. A moving magnet is the only way I know of to really check it yourself.

I sent the chain I ordered back because the length I ordered was not the length I received, it was shorter than 22 inches. As for wearing a Medallion on it, it would depend on the size of Medallion and how heavy it may be. The chain looked dainty in my opinion.

It depends on which length you choose. Take a piece of string and see what size fits over your head. Then measure. If you want it to fit over your head instead of using the clasp, then order the one that fits. Using the clasp is simpler.
