I also have the ?discontinued version of these with the design in black (non-embossed). I love the lip on the edge as it makes it easier to hold. Corelle is light weight and has great durability. I wish they’d sell all designs in all countries so I didn’t have to get these great designs from the US. Please sell in Australia.

These are very nice bowls, good size for cereal, really like the embossed part - corelle is supposed to be chip proof/break proof - that part I can't judge, but so far in appearance and quality- they seem to be nice bowls.

I love Corelle! I am on my second set in 39 years because, yes, it will chip over the years and the hot water of the dishwasher (or at least the older models of dishwashers) probably helped to wear down my first set. Important to know is that Corelle WIlL BREAK - as in the one review where someone dropped a piece 3 feet on top of a pile of rocks???? Corelle does however, wear much better than ceramic dinnerware. I selected a printed Corelle pattern for my wedding and used it until the color on the edges began to chip away but that was 35 years ago. I now pair a plain white Corelle plate with the new (somewhat elegant) Bella embossed salad and dessert plates and 18 oz bowls. It looks great but will withstand and kids or adults learning to set the table without hitting the side of the counter. I recommend Corelle dinnerware but like anything else, it can’t hit a tile floor or a pile of rocks with getting damaged or broken.
