Is this shipped in a cooler pack?

If it ever is, you are getting a product that is dead on arrival. This is a little organism that was discovered in a TROPICAL environment -- living, alive. It loves a warm climate. It was living on the skin of tropical fruit when it was discovered. It helped the local population not die of diarrhea. If this is refrigerated or frozen, it will be killed. Store this in a dry, dark place. Place it in a brown paper bag -- tape over the top of the bag if you have to, just so you can keep out all the light. Do that when you receive it, or it will die. And make sure you message the Seller you buy from and TELL THEM TO SHIP IT WITHOUT an ice pack -- without any sort of refrigeration whatsoever. The moisture from any chilling will activate it, knock it out of its 'lag phase' (hibernation), and it will essentially starve to death as it will have no food to survive on in a capsule. And it will then die before it's even in your system. Again -- request this is sent to you WITHOUT any sort of refrigeration or chilling mechanism. Otherwise, you'll just be wasting your money.

Is this product shipped with ice packs?

I sure as hell hope not; ice packs will knock it out of its hibernation state and KILL it. Also, it THRIVES in a tropical environment...cold is bad, ICE is fatal. Would you shove a tropical animal in a freezer? No? Then you would not shove a tropical organism (THIS YEAST) in a freezer, either! NO FREEZER and NO FRIDGE -- use NEITHER. Dry, dark environment. This should be shipped WITHOUT any ice packs or refrigeration tools. This does not need it, and any chilling, any freezing...WILL KILL IT. It needs to remain in its 'lag phase' -- that is how this product is made. Via a process that basically puts this little organism in a hibernation phase. Moisture from ice or cold will wake it up; the cold will kill it. It was found living on the skin of tropical fruit. It survived in that moisture-rich environment because it was activated AND had food available to it via the fruit skin. It has no such food in the capsule when it is awoken out of its lag phase via moisture and/or temperature change. This needs to be sent WITHOUT REFRIGERATION and NOT put in a fridge or freezer upon receipt. Otherwise, you'll just we wasting your money on this product, as it will be DEAD. Store in a dark place, dry......away from moisture and heat. Always.

Does this need to be refrigerated if the temperature at home is 30 Deg Celcius (86F)?

NO. No refrigeration. Why do you think the manufacturer instructions say to take this capsule with non-chilled water?? This yeast was discovered living in a TROPICAL environment, on the skin of tropical fruit. It is fine without refrigeration. In fact, a fridge would kill it; this is not a food -- this is not a dairy product. It does not "spoil" when not refrigerated. If you know anything about probiotics -- yeast in particular -- you know that the 'hibernation' phase (the 'lag' phase) is the equivalent of a coma. What wakes them up...? A change in temperature, moisture, or pH. Refrigeration will knock it out of the 'lag' phase, activate it....which means it will be looking for food, not find any, then DIE BEFORE IT REACHES YOUR GUT. Do not refrigerate this; you'll "wake it up." IT IS NOT FOOD. It is a LIVING ORGANISM. One that needs to be kept in a hibernation state, in a dry environment....it has no fruit skin to feed it here; it survived in a tropical (humid, hot) environment because it had food available to it. Being shoved into a capsule and awoken without food via refrigerator moisture is DEATH for this product. I guarantee you anyone who says, "well, I...I refrigerated it, so it HAD to be fresh, I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THIS DOES NOT WORK FOR ME!!!" is the reason why this product fails when it does. Improper storage, from people thinking this is the equivalent of a dairy product. It is not. Store it in a dry, dark place, away from moisture and light. Place it in a brown paper bag; tape the top of the bag down if you have to. Just keep it dry and away from light. AND NOT IN THE FRIDGE.
