Works, but only because I had power cable - Updated
The power supply was pictured as having had a C8 non-polarized female power connector, which pairs with a C7 non-polarized cable. Well, they sent the C7 cable, but the power supply they sent requires a C14 cable. I just happened to have one. I'm writing the review as I could not find any other way to notify Amazon. I bought this power supply to work with a Samsung LS20B350 monitor, which a neighbor gave me. It had not been used in 5 years, so he was sure if it still worked. Since he could not find the power supply I took a risk and bought this one. It works great! UPDATE: A few days after I posted this review I got a message that a batch of these power supplies were received from the manufacturer with this problem. They gave me options to either return the item or to get a partial refund. They were more than fair! Thank you!

Works With the SyncMaster BX2431
My power cable burnt out after about eight years of owning the SyncMaster BX2431 23.5'' monitor. That one was 14V DC and 1.0A, but this cord is 14V and 1.5A. I was a little worried this wouldn't work because of that, but after doing some research that said 'more is fine, less is worrying' with amperage (YMMV, this specific case is fine but do your own researh), I gave it a shot. Success! It turned on just fine using this cord, the cable fit into the socket without issues, and I'm a very happy camper not having to buy an entirely new monitor just because the last cord broke. Wanted to share just in case someone has the same model of SyncMaster I do, as there aren't a lot of Amazon results for the 2431. Thanks SHNITPWR for offering this esoteric piece of equipment!
