Good tool, just too much for my project.
Good tool, and excellent service. Unfortunately, the wire I wanted to use it with is too fine and the plier breaks it. No fault of the tool, just a non-workable choice on my part.

Excellent tool.
Was unsure of the quality prior to ordering but this unit is high quality and the right size. Works great.

Good Deal and Works Good
The build quality of this is not the best but it is good for the price. I read a lot of the bad reviews and wonder if some of the problems arise from inexperience with this type of tool. It worked good for me. I did find that the wire would slip out at times when I had it locked in place but not at a rate that I thought was bad. It was very hard to get it to lock in place at first but after several uses it started to become a lot easier to set the lock. It twisted the wire well also. If you don’t want to spend a lot of money and you know how to use this type of tool I think you will be satisfied.

Tool is extreme low quality
I am a certificated aircraft mechanic, who has used safety wire pliers for decades. If I could have given this tool a -5 I would have!! The handles on this tool are so extremely stiff that they can't be squeezed to lock into the slide. I tried to hand press the handle down against the top of my workbench, but it was still too stiff to lock into the slide. Makes the tool unusable. It is apparent that no post-assembly testing was done to this tool. This tool is absolute junk - don't waste your money. I definitely got what I paid for. Of course I returned the pliers and will buy a quality set this time.

Works but Cheap Design and Manufacture
These are NOT well made. But they twist the wire. Edges are rough and sharp, the threaded rod that it twists on is uneven and jagged. Seems like zero QC at the factory. You get what you pay for.

Endless uses
I'm using these to build cages this saves a lot of time and work great I suggest greasing them. I've also used them on my electric fence.

Clunky. Not good enough for frequent, prolonged or serious use.
I have admired many USAF aircraft mechanics installing lots of safety wire, and I always wanted my own pair of wire-twisting pliers. But not these. I purchased them to make it faster and easier to hang LED string lights from the headliner in my passenger van. These pliers were to stiff and unwieldy...impossible to use at any point of the operation with one hand. I could not even lock the pliers with one hand, because the grip was difficult and the slide lock required the full strength of a second hand to engage. The pliers look like they were made in the crudest of factories. Cast steel, blocky, clunky and unfinished. Paint dip looks like an elementary school project. I am not going to return them, because I deserve what I got. I had higher hopes. These pliers are not suitable for installing safety wire in any critical application, for use more than a couple times in a row, or for doing any work where reach or workspace for your hands is confined. If the task is serious, you would want to spend more for a more serious tool.

Pliers are great but the wire that cones with it snaps before it even gets tight. Fast delivery.

Bought it as a temporary tool while waiting for a back ordered pair. Def not a Milbar. The tip is a little bulky and requires a pretty tight squeeze to lock the grip. This will get the job done, but IMO its still better to invest in a proper one, when you can afford it.
