I bought this for our "office dog". I call it Bacon! He gets super excited when I ask if he wants to play with Bacon. He anticipates the release and he LOVES to play with this. We've done the flying monkey too, but Bacon is a hit. He's a chewer and will run away with the toy to tear them up. I close all the office doors to keep him from getting away, limit the number of slings and get it from him quickly, so this has lasted a long time. It is a great time, great toy and gets some of the energy out of the pup!

Hilarious in my husband’s arsenal to play with his grandson when visiting. Bought him a backpack full of fun and craziness.

Two of the six were defective. The voice box in the frog “feels” like it came apart inside the stuffed animal — I can’t see it because it is sewn shut with no access. (A Velcro pouch would be great for this, and ultimately changing batteries.) The head of the chicken came off the first time it was used. It appears the rubber tubing that gives it the stretch is supposed to be knotted at the bottom, and that knot came undone. It was disappointing because I have five kids and got these as stocking stuffers, but a high percentage were defective.

I previously had purchased variations of these Flingshots at retails stores and I am fairly familiar with the product. The pack came with 1 chicken, 1 duck, 1 frog, 1 pig, 1 cow, and a super-monkey. I am not sure how the monkey fits into the barn yard group, other than the monkey seemed to start this craze. I received the product promptly and everything looked nicely packaged, together. Having read the negative reviews of others, I still ordered this product and discovered they must have had a bad batch or poor luck. This product is worth trying if you are considering ordering a variety pack of flingshots. Pros: -ingenius noises when each flingshot is flying through the air -variety - I like that I could get more than just monkeys -fun themes -best value I could find at the time. All the other options were more -quality is fair - not great materials, but makes nice unique gifts! Cons: -not the strongest rubber stretch material -small finger holds on some animals, which makes them harder to hold securely

Christmas evening this year saw my family gathered near the pretty lit tree, a Nativity scene atop the entertainment center and packages being handed out all around. Seven little mystery bags--one for each household--held these little critters. The gathering quickly went from a happy peaceful time to all-out monkey warfare. Hey, who says only single-digit ages can have fun with Christmas presents? OK, my daughter was a little miffed that both her hubby and brother ganged up on her. But since they'd traveled across the country to be together, I opted not to shoot down their male bonding. This is a fun little unexpected gift that makes faces light up with laughter (most of the time). The only problem is the "pockets" on the monkey's hands where you place your fingers to shoot it just aren't very big--and I have small fingers. Apparently, everyone figured out how to use their monkeys anyway. This gift also lent itself to a lot of primate fun. Before the party was over, we were subjected to monkeys screaming, flying and yes, being spanked. As another reviewer mentioned, monkeys can start screaming before they're even out of their shipping containers. Our postal carrier had such a weird look on her face when she delivered the box. "What's that noise?" she asked me. "Is somebody calling turkeys or something?" I hadn't heard anything and concluded my poor frazzled mail lady had gone bonkers from the stress of the season. Then I heard the screech of the monkey and laughed out loud. We ordered several monkeys and their masks and capes came in both red and black, so be prepared to take what you get. Personally it didn't matter to me at all. This was such a fun gift. Highly recommended for families with a sense of humor, friends, teachers or professors with tenure.

These are the type of toy you buy for short term fun impact. Do you want a toy for young or old that will get used right out of the box? This is it. Do you want a toy that will be used again and again? Choose something else. It is not durable. The arms break way to easily. This is not necessarily a negative if you are using it at home. The croak is so loud you may be glad when it finally breaks especially if you have a child (or husband) that likes to annoy you. be warned, while the arms break, the battery lasts and lasts. I am on my 3rd and 4 th flying frog. The first one I had looked different, cuter in my opinion, and was more durable. Unfortunately, I am unable to find that one any more. Why do I keep buying this one, I use it in the classroom and the children love it. The children take turns making it croak during the Five Little Frog song. I bought two this time, to have a back up when, not if, this one breaks. I love to have interactive items for our song and this also requires some motor planning and turn taking skills. The rubber arms can hurt if fingers get in the way, so it should be supervised with young children-- older ones, such as husbands, can just suffer the consequences :). I would recommend this as a funny adult, college, teen gift especially at a family party, for children over 7 or under 7 with directions and supervision who won't get upset if it breaks, or for the classroom. Unless you need it frog specific like I do, try the pig, the monkey, or chicken. The pig sound is the least annoying and the monkey fling the best. The pig and monkey seem to hold up better too.
