100% Natural Moisturizing Lipstick, Russet River, 1 Tube

I adore this lipstick!!!! Granted, I wear bold and red lipcolor on a frequent basis, so I am comparing to other bold reds, but this Russet River color is more muted, wearable, everyday red. And, it might not even qualify as an actual red on all lips. It looks like a straight wine red in the image but in person it has more of a brown-red/brown-wine color to it. It's very versatile and can be sheered out or built up to bold. I think it would qualify as red on most lips, but if you are looking for a classic Hollywood red or fire engine red, you'll want another color. This one is amazing for every day, I think it would be perfect for fall, and it also reads a little classic 90s with that brown undertone. I would also suggest this red for those who aren't sure about wearing red and want something less vibrant but still bold and in that red family. It's probably my new favorite lipstick for the moment! I love browns and reds and this is the perfect marriage of the two. It's also extremely hydrating and comfortable on the lips. I LOVE THIS FORMULA, though I have to admit it's not transfer resistant, but it still doesn't move around a lot and it does have a great wear time. These are sooooooooooo comfortable on the lips. I look forward to buying more! I also own the Blush Basin, and I think you should pass on that one. It's a little patchy and straight up peach. Still comfortable, but a disappointing color. MakeupWearables blog has an excellent blog entry of swatches (Amazon doesn't allow me to link you to them, so Google) and I think her images are accurate. Also, the smell sort of reminds me of play-dough (in a good way---didn't we all have friend who ATE play-dough? Don't do that!!! But this scent is a happy memory.)

I’m extremely happy with this lipstick! The color is vibrant, smooth, and looks exactly like the photos. It glides on easily, feels comfortable on the lips, and doesn’t dry them out.

Perfect shade, last long smells great, value for money

I've been looking for a dupe for a long-discontinued shade from Lancome (Sepia, if you're curious) and this one is so close at a much lower price point! I find it's also less drying. It comes off easily when I eat or drink so I usually use it to stain my lips and it gives me a little bit of pop all day. I read that some reviewers have had problems with grainy texture on their lipsticks (I think that's from changes in temperature possibly during shipping?) but I luckily didn't have that problem. I had it delivered to a place with a cold climate and nothing seemed wrong with it when I opened the package either.

The color is nice and I feel like the longevity is good. However, the tube is absolutely terrible. It's like the lipstick isn't firm enough inside the tube, so when you try to apply it, the lipstick wobbles all over the place, which makes it super hard to apply and not look like a child did it. I have to use a brush to put it on, which means this isn't a lipstick I can just keep in my purse and reapply throughout the day, which makes it kind of useless to me. Because of that, I cannot possibly recommend anyone else buy this.

Fell in love with this product immediately! Applies nice and feels good on, never sticky. Fabulous color! Just what I have been looking for. I trust Burts Bees make up. Sad that this company was sold. I hope another company will be willing to make Burts Bees make up again! I loved this lipstick in the blush basin shade. It felt very moisturizing and looked good no matter how light or heavy I applied it. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, this shade doesn’t feel nearly as moisturizing. I actually feel I need chapstick in addition to the lipstick. I have to apply it all over fairly heavily to get a good coat, then dab it off to get the look I want. That said, the shade looks dark and natural at the same time and is a good, dark shade of red. I think it would be flattering on anyone (personally, I have ivory skin with yellow undertones, and most reds look weirdly orange on me. This shade looked good!)

I Love this color Russett. The lipstick does not last long but I feel confident that I am not ingesting chemicals from the product.

It's a nice one. But there are strange bumps all over the tip of the lipstick which puts me off every time I think of applying it cos you know it won't glide smoothly over your lips... And thus deters me from using it altogether. Too bad the cute cute design can't save it.

The actual lipstick is super cute and non irritating, however it arrived to me without any packaging or 'not used' indicator seal. Considering this is something that goes on the body and specifically on the lips, I was quite nervous to actually use this lipstick for hygiene reasons. The actual lipstick bar seems untouched, but yeah its sad that there was no nice packaging. Don't know if I will actually use the lipstick for this reason.
