The Bob's Burgers Burger Book: Real Recipes for Joke Burgers

I thought this book was a joke when my son asked for it. I love the show and didn't realize he was such a big fan. To my surprise, the book has some decent burger recipes. We've made a few together and the recipes have products that the average person would be able to find in a typical grocery store. The recipes are not overly complicated and are easy to follow. They are easy enough for beginner books or those trying to explore different burger options. The burger names are clever and a play on the characters and story line.

Bob's Burgers has been one of my favorite shows for a few years now. It isn't as popular as family guy, flashy as Archer, or as culturally daring as Venture Bros. but it has garnered a steady, loyal following through shockingly consistent quality. To those loyal fans, this is the book you've been dreaming of. All those terrific joke burgers have been lovingly collected into one book, that goes as far as to giving you the basics of making burgers AND fries, in easy to follow, step by step directions, that never talk down to the reader. On top of the great recipes the book is absolutely filled with amazing art work from the show. Yes, that's right; the cook book doubles as an art book. All this for, at the time of writing this review, under $12. Deals don't get better than this. If you love Bob's Burgers, this is a no-brainer. If you don't, that's because you haven't seen it. Take a second and go watch it, I'll wait....are you back? I know, right? It's amazing! I don't know why more people aren't talking about it either, but now that you know, why don't you buy this book? Not only are you getting awesome art, not only are you getting amazing recipes, but you're also supporting, what I'm assuming is, your new favorite show! Buy it now and thank me later.

We are so impressed!! Huge fans of the show and I have wanted this cookbook for a long time and I’m so glad I bought it! The recipes, dad jokes, series references and instructions are all phenomenal! My husband loves pickles so we started with this one and put it on a pretzel bun with some sautéed veggies and it was so quick and delicious. Meals are pretty heavy though, so we will probably only cook one a week. All recipes are for a total of 4 burgers so be prepared to adjust where needed.

I’m a huge fan of Bob’s Burgers so I’ve wanted this book ever since I realized it even existed. It’s got recipes, puns, and illustrations. It’s so cool that you can bring the burger of the day to life. Each recipe even tells you what season and episode the particular burger is from which is thought was pretty neat. You might as well watch the episode while you cook! I would even recommend making these with a date or friend (or even your kids) as a fun bonding activity. Overall, this book is totally worth $13 Note: it did have a little damage on the front cover bottom corner but it’s not worth taking a whole star away for.

This book is so good in so many ways. Let me list them: 1. It's hilarious. The puns are great. The cover is cute. The pictures are funny. Even the little descriptions throw some how references in there. 2. The recipes are actually really good. The burgers themselves are delicious. 3. It has the basics. There are several pages devoted to learning burger basics. It really helped me out on making better burgers. 4. There are a variety of recipes. It has all sorts of flavor combos and even non-beef burgers (including vegetarian burgers). Overall, a definite win. I'm working my way through all the recipes one by one. For now, my favorite has been "A Good Manchego is Hard to Find"

I got this as a gift for my wife (aanndd, me too) and we love it! It's a fun, colorful and entertaining hard cover book. Along with the recipes, there are lots of pictures from the show and each specialty burger gives you a season and episode to watch that corresponds to the burger. So far we've tried 2 separate burgers from the book and they were both amazing! The first one had a Brussels sprout and pistachio topping (sounds weird but was delicious) and our second one had black garlic and Sriracha mayo; two things I have never tried but worked oh so well together! If you're a fan of this show, get the book! If you're a fan of burgers, get the book! If you're an adventurous eater and just want to try out some new food ideas, get the book! Even if you haven't seen the show, this book has plenty of ideas to try out. I can't recommend it enough.

Here's what I love about this cookbook: when you get to the first few pages you see a new business that sells cookbooks and towards the end that same business is now called "The Tong Good-Buy" store. I love the fact that there's a whole page on how to make burger patties and another page on how to make fries, almost every page has an illustration that goes with the recipes. Whether it's what the burger looks like deconstructed or a character such as Linda wearing French clothes and drinking wine the illustrations are clever, funny, and make this book very special. Each time there's a burger of the day mentioned, it also tells you which episode that burger came from. For Example, the burger of the day "If Looks Could Kale" come from season 2 episode 7, "The Moody Foody". If you love this show, burgers, and/or being creative; this book is for you. Or you could give it to someone who likes this show as a birthday present or as a stocking stuffer if it'll fit in a stocking.

I love the show and thought this would be a fun way to try some of the cool orders Bob creates! The book is well bound and the cover is really high quality as are the pages. Lots of great pictures from the show. And believe it or not, unlike a lot of humor how-to books the full recipes for basically every one of his burgers are in here! I was actually surprised how easy they are to follow. Each recipe clearly spells out how much of each item you need to complete each burger. Some are recipes are great and some are just okay. Though I was disappointed, usually humor books like this have something extra to go with the how to. A funny story or cartoon with them to give some value-added to the book. This doesn't have anything extra outside of the recipes. Pros: -Well Bound and printed -quality cover and paper -fun pictures through out -detailed and mostly delicious recipes inside. Cons: - A little pricey, particularly for the measuring set (full disclosure: I opted not to order the measuring set with the book) -its a humor cook book, and there was no humor or story to accompany the recipes. Overall, If you like to cook/ grill and like the show, I would recommend buying. If you are looking for more than recipes for unique burgers, I would just skip this. Thanks
