As you can tell by the title, I only use this on my scalp. I suffer from dry scalp/seb. dermatitis and I've tried several products. This is the first product I've come across that does not make my hair super oily because avacado oil actually absorbs rather than sitting on top like heavier oils. This is also the first product that makes my scalp feel moisturized!! This oil doesn't cause any irritation. My hair drinks this right up. It's lightweight. It's an oil so a little goes a long way. I will buy again. It's great for seb dermatitis and dandruff. Helps with the itching and flaking.

I've tried argan and jojoba oil products. I decided to try avocado oil, because it was of equal or lesser price at the time and I've read good things about it. Plus, there are so many argan oil products out there that it's hard to know whether you're ordering what you think you're ordering. The argan tree is endangered and I have concerns as to the effects our demand for the oil has on the tree and the environment. This avocado oil has left my skin feeling soft and nourished. I was afraid there would be a lasting greasy feeling, but it quickly soaked into my skin, leaving the surface feeling similar to that of ones own natural, subtle, skin oil. Though I have known people with much worse allergies and skin sensitivities, including immediate family members, I've had somewhat sensitive skin, and had eczema rashes especially when I was younger. I was worried that my skin would react badly to the avocado oil. My throat even gets a little tight when I eat avocados. However, my skin didn't react badly to this pure oil at all! I've even applied it after shaving parts of my body, when the skin is more sensitive. Your experience may differ, of course, but it may not be in particular to this brand and its product. I find it a bit more difficult to spread than jojoba oil. So I recommend applying it immediately after showering, when your skin is still slightly (here it comes) moist. That's the only downside. You can try to mix it with other products to increase the spreadability, but I recommend trying it on its own so that you know how your skin reacts to it on its own. I appreciate that it's 100% avocado oil. I much prefer to mix things on my own, rather than manufacturers including cheaper ingredients and selling the product at the same price. I like using natural oils on my hair and skin, as they are simple, non-toxic, and don't include a bunch of other chemicals like most hair and skin products. 100% Pure Avocado Oil - Deep Tissue Moisturizer for Hair, Face & Skin - Rich in Retinol & Vitamin E to Reduce Wrinkles - Supports Skin Rejuvenation & Hair Growth - 4 Oz - USA Made By Maple Holistics
