Worth the plastic as it’s definitely not cheap
Well made! Card can be easily removed as well.

Good for the price
In my personal experience this will allow you to carry two cards and scan one at a time depending on which face is presented to the reader. Prevents two cards being read without removing one from the holder

Great - revised to 5 stars
----ORIGINAL REVIEW "Great, but Broken" 3 stars---- I use mine with CAC on one side, facility badge on other. When using facility badge dozens of times a day, I did not have to ever remove the CAC first to avoid misreads or even point the facility badge the correct direction at readers - the facility badge was always able to be read without interference from the CAC. However, while my previous badge holder (cheap & free, always had to remove one badge for the other to work) lasted 3 years before breaking, this holder lasted less than 4 months. The SkimSafe FIPS 201 did work as expected in shielding one card from the other, but I had to be careful with the CAC because it was removed and replaced in the badge holder many times a day for systems access. I found that once or twice I did not push it in the holder enough to make a solid click noise, resulting in it later falling out of the holder. This prompted me to change habits so that after sliding it back into the badge holder, I gently push the card back and forth a couple of times (like I do with CDs or DVDs in their trays) to ensure that it is placed properly. As a result of it breaking so quickly, I am reluctant to buy another. I do not see any indication that the two thin "slots" a lanyard can be clipped to (either for vertical or horizontal orientation) are stronger now. I am looking at the few remaining RFID-blocking alternatives to this holder to try out from other mfrs. Unfortunately, the lanyard slots on those don't look very sturdy either! ----1/14/2013 UPDATE "Great - revised to 5 stars"---- After writing this review, I searched around and did not find an unbreakable solution that worked for me as well as a SkimSafe FIPS 201. All other mfr options also had thin pieces of plastic to be the weak link. The SkimSafe did allow me to roam the halls swiping at one entrance-way after another without one badge obscuring the RFID response from the other badge (this might be oversimplifying it, but the two cards back-to-back or front-to-back in my older holder had this type of an issue). While I contemplated purchasing a new badge holder from another mfr (Identity Stronghold), I decided to give the SkimSafe another try as well as contact the vendor (SpecialistID) to voice my opinion about the weakness of the plastic to clip the lanyard to. As usual, I received my newly ordered SkimSafe FIPS 201 from Amazon in short order. I also entered into an enlightening back-and-forth email discussion with Patrick at SpecialistID over the following week. Hence, my revised review bumping this up from 3 stars to 5 stars. Patrick (who also appears to do the YouTube product demos for SpecialistID) made several points in his multiple emails: 1. SpecialistID does not actually manufacture the SkimSafe, so that changes in manufacturing were not going to happen; 2. He offered to replace the SkimSafe with another SkimSafe or their Rigid Shielded 2-Card Holder 1840-5081; 3. He has not had issues with the item breaking; 4. He recommended that using the holder with a softer strap clip end would help. **Bingo!!** The light came on for me! I had failed to recognize that by attaching the steel clip of the badge reel to the SkimSafe instead of attaching the soft rubber strap, any time my badge caught on the edge of a desk, the plastic where the metal clip attached to was a break waiting to happen. Problem solved if I changed it around. Not only was Patrick nice enough to replace my broken one, he also sent me a badge reel to try out (Key-Bak), which was his "favorite and toughest holder, made in America, with lifetime mfr warranty", and a lanyard with a built-in badge reel. I hope to try these out in upcoming weeks. ----5/5 stars if you are looking for a badge holder that holds two badges that easily allows badges to be inserted or removed but secure from falling out (as mentioned in my 2nd paragraph of original review), and also reasonably blocks one badge from interfering from another. If you need total RFID blockage (prevent RFID antennas from polling cards without you knowing it) by requiring cards to be removed from holder before being useable, check out SpecialistID's Rigid Shielded 2-Card Holder 1840-5081.

Working well so far.
I purchased five of these for myself and a few coworkers. I ahve to remove my CAC to hand it to the gate guard, and I remove and replace it several times a day whenever I log on or log off my work system. I've only been using it a short time, but it seems sturdy, and I'm not conerned about my cards falling out. I can also see very quickly if I left my CAC in my system, so I don't leave work without my CAC. So far I like this product. It feels sturdy. I also loked up exactly what FIPS 201 certification is and verified that this exact item is on on the federal approved list.

Highly recommended
This item is perfect for what I needed. I have to wear a badge at all times and needed a CAC card holder. This holder has two slots, so it worked perfectly. The slots are the perfect side and it has a seperator in between the two which prevents my badge from becoming de-magnetized (so I don't lose access). I bought one for myself and one for a co-workeer. I liked the blue color because it's something different from the standard black or gray that everyone else has. It said it could take up to 2 weeks for shipping (standard snail mail because a Prime option wasn't available), but it actually arrived in 4 days, so I was VERY pleased with that result.

Excellent card holder for CAC and work ID
I bought this card holder because it was FIPS 201 approved which meant it was designed to hold CACs. This is my first time using this product and I have to say it is fantastic. I always know where my CAC is and it is a reminder if I do leave it in the reader. The double-sided is fantastic because I can scan my work ID badge and not take it out of the holder, so this keeps my CAC and my work ID safe. This is better than the plastic ID holders that fall apart and tear. This is very sturdy and I would recommend this product to anyone if you are worried about security and losing your CAC or work ID, this product is the one for you!!

Works too good!
You have to pull the card out to scan. (I wish it didn't have to) Otherwise its doing it's job and blocking the heck out of the signals.

Doesn't work for my uses but good product
First off I saw no RFID blocking ability, I kept my smart card in it and it was still able to be scanned at the doors. Second after a few days of living in my pocket, the eye holes broke and separated from my lanyard. Now I know that it may be made for around the neck use, but still it broke really quickly. It's great for holding 2 cards securely around the neck, and for the price it was pretty good. If you need an around the neck ID holder for 2 cards this will work wonderfully but keep it away from anything that could apply too much force to it.
