Can’t be used as is - the valve fitting will not fit 90% of the aluminium rims
Great product, but a bit disappointing that you are forced to buy additional hoses, especially if you are on the road, or even offroad already…

Suddenly stopped working
Worked well up until it stopped. Compressor seems to run but does not build up pressure

Insufficient quality for that price
I have this compressor since 1 year now and use it about 5 times / week. Pros: That thing has power and inflates the tires in no time once it works. The case is fantastic and allows maximum portability. However: After a few months one of the fues blew, OK not a big deal, replaced with another 40A fuse, however it keeps blowing as soon as you want to inflate more than 4 tires after each other. So far I have used about 5 fuses. The harness get boiling hot after 4 tires. It is defiately underdimensioned. Latest incident, one of the two relais that switches on the compressor stopped working. To replace that you have to take the whole compressor appart to get to it. That is not a 5 min job and requires some technical skills. The support form ARB in the UAE is = zero. They are extreamly unfriendly and always blame the customer for the issues. This compressor might be nice for occasional usage but definately not for serious offroad use. The quality is not good enough for that. My next one will be again a 500AED one, which has probably the same quality a s the 3500AED one from ARB.

I wanted to test this new arb compressor,so i purposely dropped my 33” tire to approximately 8.8 psi. In the video, it took me 2mins and 29 seconds to bring my tire up 45PSI!the compressor filled up the reservoir tank in 40 seconds,Man all i gotta say is this compressor is awesome!!! The only complaint i have is the power cables that connect to the battery are a little short, i might have to get a longer air hose in order to fill up my trailer connected to my truck. Glamis here i come!!!

So this thing might be a bit overpriced but I decided to get it instead of the more common $200-$300 dual compressor that is rebranded by a bunch of other companies such as MOAB, Thor's lightning, Samout, All Top, Napa, etc. I will say that my friend has the cheaper compressor and it works just fine. It will actually inflate four 37" tires faster than the ARB as it pushes more cfm. My reasons for purchasing the ARB are as follows: - A bit lighter - Smaller foot print - 100% duty cycle (it will supposedly not burn out if you leave it running. The cheaper one says you should not use it for more than 30 minutes and let it cool off for about 30 minutes before using it again) - Although I am not currently using it to it's full potential, it allows for future expandability such as running air tools and making a good base for an on-board air system to run a CTIS, train horns, locker, air tools for trail side repairs (short use), etc (if I decide to go that route in the future). As a side note, these compressors are mainly used to air up four tires at the same time after an off road session. I plan to expand my system and my friend does not, so he is good with the cheaper compressor without the air tank.

Received the portable "ARB (CKMTP12) 12V Twin Motor" compressor in two days and tried it out expecting a problem or two based on previous reviews. Well, I received a unit that does NOT have any of the issues in previous reviews. The quick connectors do NOT leak when lateral pressure is applied and I tried to make it leak - they all work just fine, nothing to replace. My existing hose plugs in just fine with no leaks, so, maybe ARB read the reviews and made some changes to what they use for connectors. The fit and finish all looks professional / high quality to me but of course I have only used it once. Lines in case from compressor to tank are braided stainless steel which should last a long time. The performance was great as it brought my 33 inch tire up from 15 lbs to 37 lbs in less than 2 minutes. The downside is the price, its very pricy but I would buy again.

A really nice high quality piece of equipment. Great for fast inflation of tires, rubber boats, small inflatable pools etc. I only wish 4 hoses were included to be able to inflate 4 tires at once. Inflation time depending on pressure is less than a minute and it connects to the vehicles battery with ease.

Ordered first unit -- It arrived and worked for about 20 seconds then went kaput. Called ARB support and they believed that some thermal protection unit was tripped inside the device and it would need to be sent in. Since I had only been in possession of the unit for about an hour, I didn't feel like going through the hassle of having it 'repaired'. Instead, I decided to trade that hassle for the hassle of sending it back to Amazon. Didn't get reimbursed anywhere near the cost of shipping the unit back to them (another $40 out of pocket for someone else's problem) but they did advance-exchange the device, so the new one arrived on my doorstep soon thereafter. (Not that it did me a lot of good; I was already on the trails for the trip I *wanted* this compressor on.) When I got home from my trip (and luckily, many others had air compressors that I could borrow) I unboxed and plugged in this unit -- voila! It actually started pumping and didn't die after 20 seconds. Progress! From what I can tell in the short time i've played with it, I should be pretty happy with this unit. Also, I had a nice reminder about why mail-order, while convenient, certainly has areas for improvement as well. But that's not ARBs fault. The bad compressor is their fault.
