These are better than I expected. They came already paired so all I had to do was plug them in and connect the supplied optical cable to my TV. I needed to set my TV to PCM mode for them to work as noted in the instructions. I find them comfortable to wear and easy to use. I bought them because I'm hard of hearing and I find them loud and very clear. The speech mode is particularly useful when listening to programs which otherwise seem muffled. The battery lasts for two or three days listening. The noise cancellation works quite well although I don't have a lot of ambient sound. I don't use the soundbar pass through although I can see how that might be useful. They were more expensive than some similar headphones, but they're well made and you get what you pay for.

I purchased this item in Sept 2021. We were very pleased to find a good quality product that had all the various wires to connect to several different options. I'm not very savvy in new tec but I was able to set it up easily. I was impressed with the fact there were contact details for assistance if I had needed it as well as printed info. Sound quality can't be faulted and they are really comfortable to wear. The reason for writing this review after more than 18months later is that we encountered a problem with the headset. I contacted the customer services and had contact with Rie. She was so helpful and supportive. She advised me that the purchase was still under warranty. She kept intouch daily and advised me how to order a new set without any cost to ourselves. She was delightful and considerate. She gave me advice on pairing the new headset and she asked me to let her know when it was all up and running. At every stage she said for me to contact her with and question's or problems. We received the new earphones within a few days and I was happy to say they were paired easily and are now working perfectly. I cannot say that I've ever had better customer service anywhere,I felt so well supported. Well done Avantree I would certainly recommend you!

These headphones have impressed me, and I find I prefer them even to some more expensive Sennheisers. The sound quality is pretty good; not quite matching the Sennheisers nor my older Audio Technica wired headphones (not quite crisp enough, with a little too much bass), but not far off, and noticeably better than the 18-month-older Avantree Audition Pro; Avantree is clearly trying to improve. The headphones are well-designed: they are comfortable to wear for as long as the battery lasts (just slightly warm due to the closed backs); the dock is easy to use (the headphones turn on and connect automatically when removed from the dock - Sennheiser could learn from this!); it's easy to swap between audio from the dock and audio from a Bluetooth device so I can be playing music from my PC and then switch to listening to something from my phone without going to swap my headphones. Above all, the range is AMAZING. I have gone to some lengths to try to extend the signal from other wireless headphones to cover my whole two-bedroom flat. No other headphones quite manage it; the best I had managed before involved drilling through a wall and running a Bluetooth transmitter (actually an earlier Avantree) with an external antenna under the bed in the exact centre of the flat, and even then it drops out sometimes. The Avantree Opera Plus however easily covers my whole flat without fuss, even with the dock behind my PC in one corner of the flat, and myself stood in the opposite corner, the other side of four thick concrete walls and several pieces of furniture. Not a single drop-out. The downside: the voice prompts are far too LOUD. I was cooking whilst listening to something through my headphones this evening. Suddenly a voice yelled "LOW BATTERY!!!" at 10x the volume whilst I was carrying food. I dropped my food.

I have found that these headphones are a great design and are easy to use. They are conformable to wear, for a long time and have a good quality sound output. The Bluetooth works well, with a good range and speak to you to confirm selections, battery status and connection. The manufacturer provides an extended warranty and you can book a call to help set things up. The base is easy to connect to the TV's audio output, with cables included. The headphones recharge quickly on the stand or separately and have a conformable fit. I would recommend these headphones for new or experienced users.

Amazing product. I use it when exercising on my static bike, first thing, without disturbing anyone. Watch one episode of a series and cycle away! The sound quality is excellent, actually better than the sound bar we have. Not noise cancelling but we've had someone drilling in the next room and you could barely hear it. Just ordered another one for my daughter. Would highly recrecommend.

Good value and quality for money

These were my second pair but they would not retain Bluetooth connection so returned for refund first pair worked ok but headphones literally dropped in bits after around 26 months,given up on tv headphones so purchased Bose quiet comfort & hard wired to tv job done

Very comfortable and the recent improvements made to these Avantree headphones make them even better to use than my previous pair. The sound and range of control is excellent. Very pleased with them overall.
