Best foundation I've ever used!
Seriously best full coverage foundation I've ever used! It's thick and blends beautifully into your skin. It does not budge! I've even had a runny nose and been having to use tissue, it's still on! The price is so incredible as well!!! Never going back!

Years Later, Still My Favorite Foundation
This has been my go-to foundation for years, and for good reason. It delivers on exactly what I need: full coverage that actually lasts all day. I have naturally oily skin, and this foundation has always worked with my skin, not against it. It has a slightly chalky texture at first, which I know might not be for everyone, but for me, that matte finish is exactly what helps keep the shine under control throughout the day. No constant blotting or touch-ups needed. What I really love is how versatile it is. I can use just a tiny amount and blend it in for a more natural, everyday look, or I can build it up for full glam, especially for things like weddings. Either way, it never feels too heavy on my skin, and it holds up beautifully. The size of the product is also a win. You get a generous amount for the price, which makes it an amazing value, especially considering how little you need to use at a time. A little really does go a long way. At the end of the day, it does exactly what I want a foundation to do: stays put, keeps me shine-free, and gives me options whether I want light or full coverage. Pros: ✅ Full coverage that lasts all day ✅ Great for oily skin ✅ Buildable for both natural and glam looks ✅ A little goes a long way ✅ Generous size for the price ✅ Long-time trusted product Cons: ❌ Can feel a little chalky, especially if you prefer a dewy or moisturizing finish ❌ May not be ideal for dry skin, unless used with a hydrating primer

Lightweight, matte, and surprisingly long-lasting
I grabbed the Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Foundation on a whim, and honestly, I’m pleasantly surprised. It goes on smooth, blends really easily, and gives a soft matte finish without looking flat or heavy. I love that it feels lightweight — more like a mousse than a typical liquid — and it doesn’t settle into pores or fine lines the way some budget matte foundations do. Coverage is medium but buildable; one layer evens everything out nicely, and you can tap on a little extra for stubborn spots. It does a great job controlling shine throughout the day — especially in the T-zone — so if you run oily, this is a solid pick. Only minor downside: if you have dry patches, prep with moisturizer or primer first, because it can cling a little in those areas. Not a deal breaker, just something to keep in mind. For the price point, this foundation performs way better than expected. Matte, smooth, and dependable — definitely a go-to for everyday wear!

Seems expensive!
Works better than expensive brands and I was pleasantly surprised! Great quality! Smooth even and not over thick! My new favorite. Not watery at all!

Positive update....
*So I found the trick to using this makeup is applying it with a makeup brush. I put a dollop of the foundation in my clean palm and add a drop or two of highlighting liquid to give the makeup some sheen because it’s very flat. I probably would not do that if my skin is very oily. After blending the two in my hand I buff the makeup into my skin. I go pretty heavy as I have freckles and sunspots. I let this layer dry for about 5 minutes and then I repeat. I let this dry and dust on some blush and finishing powder. Funny thing is, I went to Manhattan for an interview so used this makeup and after a short while my interviewer blurted out “I have to say your makeup is flawless. It’s incredible!” And it only cost me a few dollars! This double layer technique made all the difference. I was on a train, walking the city, interviewing, shopping, eating etc and train home. 12 total hours of activity and NO chance for touch-ups and my makeup looked great still when I got home! ********************************************************** I have tried three colors from this Rimmel matte line which I’m reviewing here; •Fair Porcelain •Ivory •True Ivory (Some more appropriate name ideas for this color are; Oompa Loompah, Satsuma or MAGA Orange) Lots of pros and cons about this makeup so I’m still on the fence if I will buy again. PROS; -Covers the worst skin flaws better than my concealers do (in my case some stubborn-to-cover sun spots, freckles, blemishes) -even color on skin -lightweight and not greasy on skin even after hours of wear -Price CONS; -Wears off after about 4 hours (for me, during a northeast American winter so it’s not even a sweat-related wearing down) -while it eventually wears off on my skin’s surface, there is still foundation in each and every pore on my face. It’s a very bad look. -color range is really inconsistent. There is no gradual progression of tone for each color. It goes from Fair Porcelain (which is paper white on my already ridiculously pale skin) to Ivory (a bit dark for my skin but I’m working with it) to True Ivory, which jumps to a completely different color all together. It’s insanely orange like results from a cheap sunless tanner. If you are an Orangutan, True Ivory is your color match. -Because of the cheap price I’m not going to nitpick about “good for your skin” ingredients like most foundations have in them these days but it’s what I like in a foundation. This makeup however, has the most basic of ingredients. As I said, for the price I can deal. So in conclusion, once you can find your color match (a feat in itself) I think this is great for a few hours wear for oily skin. It is very flat in color so I add highlight drops to give it some illumination and because it’s a cold, dry winter here, I put a good moisturizer on underneath. I have no idea how this makeup will behave during summer months here when it’s hot and humid. I’ll try to update.

Gives a flawless finish!
I bought this foundation not for my face but to use on my hands to cover sun spots & veins. I couldn’t believe how beautifully it works. It cover all the imperfections & is not noticeable. It sets quickly & leaves a smooth, no smear finish. Doesn’t come off on clothes. It’s such a great product & so REASONABLY PRICED!!!

Please make this forever, Rimmel
Amazon tells me I have ordered this 15 times. Please, please, pleeeeease never stop making it! I prefer it over the more expensive brands from Sephora, etc. And you CANNOT beat the price of the Rimmel Stay Matte. I even wore it on my wedding day (almost 8 years ago). I did my own makeup and it looked great (not to toot my own horn or anything), but honestly… I have the oilest skin of anyone I know. I’m talking, just washed my face and I can see the oil seeping out of my pores within 20-30 min. Oil blotters hate to see me coming. Yeah. Bad. Gross. Genetics (thanks, mom). This helps keep the oil at bay until at least mid-late afternoon. And for me, that’s saying a lot. Of course, I do mattifying primer, powder, mattifying setting spray. Mattifying everything. But the foundation is the well, foundation. And makes a ton of difference. And I love that it’s full coverage. Thanks to all the oil, you can imagine that my skin has never been great. Acne prone, Grand Canyon pores, scarring. Your girl needs full coverage. And as a ghostly white gal, I appreciate the light shade range (no orange!). But anyway, if you’re still reading… I love you Rimmel Stay Matter. Never change.
