Great Product
We were off to a rough start when the package was left on my sidewalk, with holes in the box and most of the tape flapping in the breeze - this is on Amazon. Luckily nothing was broken but the glass door had slipped out of the frame from the mishandling of the box.I reached out to Dreamline and they were helpful in sending me additional information as to how to get the door back into the frame. After reading the instructions several times I felt confident in the steps and started the process.Overall the telescoping system to adjust to varying width openings is great and there is no cutting of aluminum framing which is wonderful. This is a two-person install process at times.Getting the vertical wall rails leveled and holes marked for drilling is a crucial part to get accurate. If you're drilling into tile, make sure you go very slowly at first so as not to have the drill bit slip and then have holes where they're not supposed to be!Once the vertical wall rails are secured with screws and silicone then, with the help of your assistant placing the framed door into the rails is fairly easy and then you have the sliding adjustments to make, and then securing your properly aligned door as instructed. One of my walls was severely out-of-plumb which left a fairly large gab, but caulking filled it in.I think the quality of this product and the engineering, for the price, is very good. I would have to pay $900 -$1000 to have something like this made and installed by a professional.

High quality, very forgiving on sizing and squareness of opening
I am a remodeling pro. I do not usually do shower enclosure replacements, I sub them to a specialty company which is usually quite expensive and also usually the only real option for even remotely custom enclosures. I won a job with a straightforward shower door and a constrained budget. This door fit the bill perfectly. In my experience the tough part is getting the purchased product to fit the existing opening. This door was so nice on how it expanded and contracted to fit a large range of opening sizes. Installation was straightforward. The door is heavy - recommend two people carry it to install location and be available to help set the door during install (although I did the installation myself, I would have preferred a second set of strong hands). The installed product closes tightly and appears durable to withstand years of use.The only thing I found questionable was the factory drilled installation holes on the exterior of the frame. There’s no reason that wouldn’t work, except my stall wasn’t tall enough to accommodate all the predrilled locations. I wound up drilling my own installation holes on the interior of the channel where the installation fasteners are hidden after installation. I used toggle bolts for my install. I was pleasantly surprised to use all the small, supplied installation fasteners to secure the expanding rail in its final position, instead of purchasing additional stainless fasteners - nice detail coverage. If you have a straight opening, this door is a great, affordable option.

Excellent choice for an open of 38" to 42"
I was very hesitant to purchase this item. I've been constructing a custom shower and just fear made me hesitant. Well it arrived very beat up and the UPS driver asked me if I wanted to send it back. Based on a review I had read before, it is very well packaged and none of the glass was broken. Besides, I had 3 days to return it. The inner rail was slightly bent but no big deal because it was going inside the wall rails. All good. The ease of installation is awesome. I had never installed a shower door before. The instructions are on point with what needs to be done. What really sold me was not having to cut anything. I did have to ask my roomie to hold the door while I secured it but other than that, it was a one man show. I highly recommend this door. It's classy, sheik and sophisticated.

measure and make sure opening is square
Really looks nice - first time for me to install anything like this - was not really hard to do - but read instructions carefully and look at diagrams - I did have trouble with one screw on the frame end - I had lubed it but it still broke - the other one held good - my opening was tight so there is not a problem with only one screw on the top end - the door opens and closes very nicely - it does vibrate when the magnet lets go when opening - but is not an issue for me - I coated the glass with Rain-X before I used the shower - really helps reducing the water spotting of the glass -I would buy this unit again -

Door glass easy to break
Had door little over 9months. When wife was walking out of shower the 50lb glass swing out door shatteredinto thousand pieces. No one go hurt.Called Dreamline as, I started to advise them that wife walking out of shower. They finished sentence by says your glass shattered. So they were aware of this problem. They elected to replace door and any required hardware but wanted 200.00 for shipping. That is not acceptable. Called Amazon they indicated no returns after 90 days. No other help. I think customer should be entitled to some compensation. Did not receive any offers.Next door would have to be sliding . I think to much stress on swing out door that is that heavy.442.79 for 9months of use. Unhappy

Very well engineered and more…
This shower door really surprised me. At first I thought I made a mistake in buying it because I didn’t see the beauty of its design. Only after I fully assembled it did I see just how great the design is. I’ve installed shower for over 50 years. You will truly enjoy both the quality and design
