Excellent for birding!
This monopod is so sturdy that I am able to double it as a walking stick when birding. It's lightweight; when folded, I can slip it in my purse or even pop it in an overall pocket. It's easy to adjust the height and also quiet, so I can set up a shot without scaring away wildlife. Being a trusted brand, it was an excellent value and I recommended it to everyone on my nature hikes.

Lightweight, Sturdy, and Very Portable!
This tripod performs excellently. It's very sturdy and can handle a good amount of weight without any issues. I'm also impressed with how lightweight and easy it is to carry, making it the perfect companion for travel or shooting on the go. Highly recommended!

Good tripod but you're just ordering a different head.
Tripod itself is great the only draw back is flimsy mountain head put a different head on and it works great.

Excellent value from a reputable brand
I love the size, stability, and quality of this tripod! Everything about this tripod feels mature, thoughtful, and polished. The rubber twist locks are thick, strong, and comfortable. The height is surprisingly good for a tall person like me. There are some heavy-duty plastic components, including the base plate. But they seem very high-quality. As far as travel tripods go, this is going to be the most sturdy. I tried other brands including the MeFoto backpacker (which is amazingly small and light) but it was too short for me and not stable enough to hold my large Canon DSLR and lenses. Other brands may offer almost the same height, but with the last leg segment barely thicker than a pencil. I also tried and returned two other non name-brand carbon fiber tripods which had the weight allowance but not the stability of legs due to rather flimsy carbon fiber legs fully extended. Finally, after a few weeks of searching, I decided to go with this Manfrotto because of the name brand and other positive reviews (elsewhere) for its stability. Other new brands seem nice but I was concerned about quality control issues and do not foresee these companies standing by their product like an established brand will. I wanted to love the carbon fiber tripods -- who wouldn't be exited about a 79" carbon fiber tripod for $99?! At the end of the day, I felt most comfortable placing my $2,000 Canon DSLR + zoom lenses on this tripod. I even walked around with the camera attached and the legs extended. No concern of the camera coming loose. If you're looking for a travel tripod, this is not going to be the lightest of the bunch. But it is still light and one of the best values out there by a reputable brand.

Great monopod for telephoto lenses
I really like this monopod. I’ve had it for a decent amount of time now, so I feel comfortable reviewing it. I like that it’s pretty light weight, feels very sturdy when I use it with my Nikon Z8 and Z 1.4 teleconverter with the Z 180-600mm, is easy to adjust the height and locks into place quickly. It has a little strap for carrying it too. I’ve had zero issues with it and I use it all the time. Definitely recommend it.

Cheap leg connectors
Seemed sturdy at first- After 1 day of use the legs jammed and were very difficult to close Also the interior piece holding the leg extensions in fell out very quickly I was traveling with this item and it literally fell apart within a week. It was such a pain to carry around since the legs wouldn’t close all the way or you had to push so so hard that I almost hurt myself. Made my whole trip so much more difficult, Save your money

Good quality tripod for medium-weight gear
Good quality tripod. I got it for a good price. I’ve taken this tripod to 3 different countries and used it a lot. It’s solid and helps me take good photos from up high. Just don't use a heavy camera on it or it will bend when fully extended. For reference, I use my Sony a7sii with a 14-24mm f2.8 lens. Not a crazy set up for photos, but it’s a solid size. This tripod handles it well. Solid quality
