Dr. Ohhira's Probiotic Kampuku Beauty Bar

This little (that's my ONLY complaint, btw, the bar is a bit small but it lathers richly so I think it will last...) magic bar of soap is so much more than soap! It is a natural, healing repair bar that also happens to clean your skin! I read the reviews here and elsewhere and saw it has helped people with a variety of clinical skin problems. I bought it for sebhoreic dermatitis, for which I have tried a dozen prescription and home remedies. Not only is it helping my dermatitis, but IN 3 WEEKS it has COMPLETELY ELIMINATED MY KERATOSIS PILARIS!! I had given up on that! I've had it for YEARS and have used the strongest prescription acidic creams (meant to dissolve the excess keratin) and had no luck before this miracle soap. It even made my heels smoother and softer. In fact, ALL OF MY SKIN is softer, smoother and healthier! Sounds crazy but this is the ONLY new thing in my regime. But it actually makes sense because our skin has a natural balance of microscopic flora - just like the probiotics in our guts - and if we mess up that balance with any of the countless chemicals in modern skin products, then some of the flora can grow out of proportion to the rest and cause problems. This probiotic soap can - depending on what is off kilter - restore that delicate balance of all the stuff that keeps our skin healthy, so then the skin can begin to HEAL from the damage of the imbalance! Speaking of healing, normally, my skin heals sllloooowww from little scratches and stuff, but since I started using this soap, the little scratches from my pugs are healing faster and fading quicker! I think anyone this soap doesn't help either didn't use it long enough to let the damage heal OR they simply did not have a flora imbalance in their skin. If that's the case, just return it. But it's worth a try, absolutely worth a try. Good luck!

I bought this soap because I as having an issue with cystic acne, face, armpits, back, thighs, you name it. I take medications that suppress my immune system as I have several autoimmune disorders. I think that the medications had thrown off the natural good bacteria levels on my skin and that is why I was getting so much of the cystic acne. Cystic acne is the type where you get the large hard lumps under the skin, they tend to be inflamed and sensitive to touch. It takes weeks sometimes a month or more for it to clear up. I tried this soap the day it came in and the next day the acne on my neck and face looked better less inflamed, not as tender or irritated. After one week the acne on my face has cleared up almost completely, I can tell my pores are shrinking and my skin feels wonderful. it does feel a bit drying on the face if you do not use an astringent and moisturizer, I use witch hazel and almond oil. I swear I think it has helped the almond oil with clearing up some of my over pigmentation from sun damage. I will continue to use this soap and intend to get several bars to give to my female friends and family. My skin overall feels younger, healthier and much happier. It has no scent and is not a moisturizing bar really. Love it!

I will never use another soap again. I have ultra sensitive skin and this soap is calming on my skin and has reduced constant redness and irritation. Was recommended by Dr. Blaylock for all skin types. Leaves my skin clean, soft and far less itchy and irritated.

This is the first time I have used a product from Dr. Ohhira's line. After reading mostly positive reviews, I decided to try it and I'm glad I did. This bar leaves my face feeling fresh and clean without overdrying it. Other soaps may leave your skin clean but they have a tendency to overdry the skin and that can lead to a host of other problems. I use this at night and follow it up with an alcohol free toner. Using the soap alone does not remove all of my makeup so the toner removes what was left behind. After my bar runs out, I will most likely be purchasing another one. I will have to agree with other commenters that the price is a bit high considering the size of the bar. I'll keep an eye out for any new discounts. : ).

This soap is amazing. It lathers so much which helps it to last longer. And I can immediately feel the soothing effects on my skin. Cancels out any irritation. Even after you shave. My skin feels so smooth after and it feels nourished! Who knew probiotics could make such a difference for our skin as well...don't hesitate buying this...you will be happy you did!

I like the idea of keeping the immune system that resides on our skin. That it is not destroyed, burned or scrubbed off using bleach water, harmful chemicals and detergents . Too new to using it to see an honest difference except it makes skin soft and smooth feeling without the greasy feel of lotions ,potions or oils :)

Love how it makes my skin feels and it doesn’t irritate my skin, which is a plus because I have very sensitive skin.

I bought this soap on a hunch that a topical probiotic product might help with my skin problems. I am terribly prone to MRSA lesions, particularly on my legs, and antibiotic after antibiotic was not the answer. I started using this soap each time I shower (along with the SK1N body lotion) about three months ago and have not had an infection since I started. This is a BIG deal. It's hard to say for sure that this soap is the only factor in my skin's improvement, but I'm taking it! It's also helped with my eczema, has a nice lather and no off-putting smell. Definitely worth the money.
