When I first got them, they reeled flimsy and I didn’t think it would work but they did the job

I bought the tool as I needed it for doing up a CV joint clamp urgently, and it worked as intended. How many more will it work for I'm not sure as the build quality is not as robust as a proper branded tool. As an occasional DIY'er it fits the bill for cost vs quality given my very occasional need for it.

The tool ie absolutely useless. Failed to tighten a cv boot clamp and snapped it on first use. Not suitable for smaller clamps as it requires a lot of spare material. Better results with pliers than with this 'tool', which goes to show.

Having past negative experiences with Plastic/Nylon 'zip-ties (exacerbated by incorrect grade of grease ie melting and seepage), I'm relieved at having greater access to a more tight and durable retaining-means. However infrequently I ever refit/replace said gaiter, I do strive to only use a High Melting Point (eg graphite) lubricant, degrease and silicon-seal the jointing surfaces. These precautions actually TOLERATED use of an inferior (eg nylon/plastic) band in one instance yet I couldn't welcome my purchase in question more.
