Didn't realize how much of a difference it would make
I have a pair of HD 6XX from several years ago, before Massdrop changed their name to Drop. I was one of the early supporters of the company, and their vision for crowd "funded" exclusive product collaborations. I've had the original head band cushion all this time, despite replacing the ear pads. I finally got to a point where I felt the cushion was no longer acting as a cushion and sought a replacement. I found this and was initially concerned about the radical price difference between this and what Sennheiser sells, but I'm quite happy to report that it's been perfect. It appears to be a genuine OEM replacement from what I can see. Replacing the headband it easy and takes less than 5 minutes. It made a world of difference.

Good OEM Replacement
This headband worked great with my HD6XX and it is one of the easy parts to replace. Although, it is really easy to disassemble and reassemble the entire headset.

A bit pricey but very nice
Although this headband pad is a bit pricey, it is worth it for an OEM Sennheiser replacement part. They're very comfortable and look to be of great quality. I bought this HD 6XX style pad even though the HD 580 style are still available and I'm not the least bit disappointed; they fit the 580s perfectly. It took only a minute or two to install. You only need use a 'butter knife' to pry up one of the headband pad retainer clips on the underside of the headband, slide the old pad out, slide the new one in and snap the clip back in place. You may want to look for a YouTube video for instructions if you're not fully confident in what you're doing.

No Instructions
Nice headband but I had to go to the Internet to find instructions about how to install it. None were provided. You can find instructions on that famous site where many instructional videos are found...

I didn’t know what I lost
I’ve had HD650s for a while but they’ve flattened over time. The OEM headband really does fit the bill in this case to make a nice fit in the headphone. Good replacement quality etc. lots of others here will support that. Buy once every few years and cry then. But you can’t argue it’s bad for the sound of headphones like non oem tend to be.

The brought my HD650 back to 'like new' condition
Straight forward application: you just pull tab out of the end of the headband, slide the old one out and slide the new one in. Took all of 5 minutes.
