This Viking War Horn from Norse Tradesman is an attractive, quality piece for anyone with an interest in Viking culture. It has and adjustable strap for carrying and is marked with runes. It comes with a small brochure with instructions on how to use it. Getting the right tone takes a bit of practice, but is not difficult. I would definitely recommend the item.

The horn itself is awesome. The only negative I have is my strap came with leather already chipping off in a few small patches.

I’m a brass player and play everything from a French Horn to a Tuba even the occasional didgeridoo… but this is not a valid playing instrument. If you buy for decoration or to carry around a renaissance festival, it’s a very expensive non working horn. Whoever is carving out the mouthpiece is doing it all wrong. Some negative feedback is because this doesn't come with a mouthpiece. Well, it’s not supposed to. But, you are supposed to be able to play this without it. I bought the biggest model thinking it would be the baseiest note. Not at all. I was able to get the high pitch notes only by tightening my lips super tight. But not at all able to get the horn to hit it’s base residence frequency all because the horn isn’t made to play, but only to look at.
