Satisfied with the product
Works really great as advertised. I used a apple ipad mini for my car setup. It was pretty sturdy. Was skeptical while buying it but it held pretty good. If you have a pro or 13 inch ipads don't buy this, they have a separate one for the bigger ones.

Decent holder but not without flaws
I have just recently upgraded my phone to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and my little Pop Socket vent clip holder wasn’t going to hold up under the weight of this phone. There is a lot of phone holders that would work for my new phone but the price is twice that of this holder, which is something I didn’t want to commit to. Plus reading reviews made it seem like it wouldn’t be worth it. THIS holder was in the price range I’m okay with AND the almost 2k reviews are mostly positive. PLUS it’s a CD player insert, something I don’t use and actually had to search for to even find it (lol) and it would be out of the way of my AC vents and my backup camera/radio screen that I need. Win-win. It was easy to assemble the pieces together and easy to slip into the CD player BUT…the screw in the back that tightens the grip into the CD player was pressing a button on my radio that sits right behind it. This is a radio specific problem, but that is a button that I need to use for Bluetooth and it also allows me to hang up on blue tooth calls, which happened. I was on a call and it kept ending because of the screw. Thankfully my husband solved this problem by flipping the entire holder upside down so that the screw is now facing my AC buttons, but not pressing them, and those buttons are something that aren’t typically messed with. I suggest the design of the screw change to something that doesn’t protrude out and get in the way of the radio. I did notice that the instructions did inform that the holder can be flipped if the screw is in the way but I don’t think that should be the only solution. The screw should have a design change. Another complaint I have is something I’ve seen another reviewer mention and that is the side buttons that open and close the arms that grip the phone. They are a pain to press in general, never mind when the phone is on the holder and you have to reach your fingers behind the phone to squeeze these things. The more expensive holders have the automatic mechanical arms that open and close when it senses the phone etc. this holder doesn’t need to be so fancy, but it should be more user friendly to get the phone in and out of the holder without hurting your fingers. The top arm does lift up to make it a bit easier, but those buttons are something that still need to be used. So now that I got the negative out of the way, the positives are there too, don’t worry, lol. When the holder is screwed in the CD player it is solid and secure and there is no swaying or risk of falling out. It jiggles when going over bumps, but it’s suspended in the air so it’s to be expected. I like that the arms move to all sorts of angles to make it easier position the screen to what’s comfortable for you. The arms themselves have a good grip on the phone so I feel confident it won’t fall out. I can hold my phone in the closed and full screen position. I like to watch C dramas while sitting in the parent pick up line at my kid’s school and I can go hands free while reclining for an hour, so that’s a nice luxury. My husband likes it so much that I ordered one for his car and I know that will get a lot of use since he plays music while on his hour drive to work. Overall, it has its flaws that should be reworked to make it easier to use, but the concept is great and the holder itself is solid and has a strong grip on the CD player and the phone itself. It isn’t wide enough to hold my 11 inch iPad, I didn’t think it would be, but it works great for my Galaxy Fold in both positions. For $20, it’s worth the money.

Great
I love this stand it was easy to install as you just put it in the CD holder and twist it until it locks into place. I love that it is multifunctional as it could be used for a tablet or a cell phone. One side pops out and extends and the other one also extends when pulling. It works great for my Samsung phone and as well as my 11 inch Samsung tablet. It is sturdy with the cell phone and tablet as well as it does not move shake or bend while driving. You can rotate it 360° at ease and it stays in position pretty well. It is a great space favor as it allows me to keep my tablet or phone within View and not cluttered all throughout my console area. There is no suction as it is screwed into the CD player and it Clips on to cell phone and tablet.

Great purchase, works great!
I purchased this to hold my Galaxy Fold7. It worked wonderfully, even with my slim case on the phone. The setup and installation was easy and it securely fit into the CD player. The two pictures show it positioned in the CD Player, and of the Phone-holder.

A great tablet option (as long as you aren't driving over excessively bumpy roads)
This holder for my 5th generation iPad (9.7") has been a lifesaver. Never once has it dropped my tablet. Bu it needed some extra work to keep my tablet positioned correctly. I purchased this holder after trying out a few others that relied on suction cups. In the summer heat they never held very well for long. I didn't want to use holders that used adhesive pads or screws. I needed something that would securely hold my iPad when I was doing Door Dash but also be removable when I didn't need it. I'd seen holders like this before but couldn't believe they really worked based on the thin sliver of plastic that slid into the CD slot. But after getting tired of nearly dropping my iPad and not wanting to block my view or glancing over to it laying on the passenger seat, I reluctantly purchased this holder. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to correctly assemble it, as I'm a dimwit sometimes. After I got it together correctly, I installed it, then set it up to hold my iPad precisely as I wanted it. Later that day, the first true test of the holder started. It mostly held! I was really surprised. I kept glancing at it nervously, waiting for the sudden drop that happened too many times before. But, it never dropped. It mostly kept the iPad facing me as I placed it so I had no glare and could see the the map as it scrolled along guiding me from destination to destination. Sweet! But as usual, things started to fail little by little. I noticed towards the end of my dash that the tablet had begun to droop downwards a bit. I could still see the screen, but it wasn't at an optimal position. I tried tightening the knob more to lock the tablet but it would gradually loosen just enough from lateral and vertical forces to let the iPad droop. I stopped at a hardware store and picked up some plumbers tape. I took the holder apart and wrapped the ball inside the joint generously. I then reassembled the holder, positioned the iPad just right, then proceeded to tighten it as much as I could. For a while it worked. But slowly, almost imperceptibly the tablet drooped again. I took the holder apart once again, but added plumbers tape to the threaded part that goes over the ball joint. I then put the screw back on and tightened it. Once again it seemed rock solid. And again the iPad slowly drooped. To be fair, this design is nearly perfect. I think as long as a person drives on smooth roads and hits very few bumps, the holder should work great with tablets. But my deliveries sometimes go over bumpy streets and corduroy dirt & gravel roads. I think almost any tablet holder would fail then. As a last ditch effort, I took it all apart again, but this time added a healthy amount of superglue gel to the ball and the threaded assembly. I quickly repositioned the iPad one last time and screwed everything together as tightly as possible. I left the holder unused for a few hours to give the superglue time to set and lock. After that, I put the holder back in the CD slot, put my iPad back in, and took off with more deliveries. That was about a month ago. Since then the tablet has stayed locked in place. I only get worried and support the holder when I driving over those gravel and dirt roads that are so rough that I think I might've rattled a couple of teeth out of my mouth, LOL! But the glued joint has never loosened or gave way. Nor has the holder fell out of the CD slot. It is a far less expensive solution using my cellular iPad and my iPhone with unlimited data to get a big useful map that helps me deliver. Why spend so much on a Car Play unit when my iPad and iPhone do the trick? If you are using this holder for smaller things like a phone, or a smaller tablet, I don't think you'll have to go to the lengths I did. But if you do want to use it for a tablet that is on the larger side, keep in mind that you might have do modify it a little bit depending on the streets and roads you travel on. Overall I am satisfied with this holder. Is it perfect? No. Nothing short of permanently altering your dash or using some mount that will obstruct your line of sight out of your windshield will work flawlessly. This particular design is perfect for me.

I finally found something that works in my car.
This fits well in my cd slot. I have a tablet that I haven't used in around 4 years. I decided to use it for GPS because my phone screen is too small. This device is holding the tablet very well. I can also use the tablet to watch video (when not driving).
