Nice Helmet, perfect snug fit
I was waffling about the size I should buy, my head measured 57cm and the Medium went to 58cm. So thought I might need to go up to a Large. Bought the medium anyways as that was the size I was replacing. To my delight the Medium fit perfectly. It's just snug enough and the chin strap actually fits a lot better then on my last helmet that I was replacing. It was easy to adjust and I love the vent system in this helmet, which I didn't have in my last helmet. The idea is for it to be snug and comfortable with the idea that you'll never need to use it to save your medula oblongata. I was also able to add my wireless headphones I had installed in my previous ear covers into this helmet no problem. They fit perfect and worked perfect. The color I got was the blue and I love it... Nice good looking helmet with some nice little benefits...

Good (Update: Awesome) mid-range helmet
Updated Review: I've had this helmet for two years now (to the day! 🤯) and can report that it's a super solid helmet. I temporarily misplaced my "go to" Smith helmet last season and had to use this one for many sessions. It didn't disappoint. If you're looking for "pro"-level gear, you're probably willing to shell out TWICE as much cash for a much fancier helmet. Nevertheless, for the price, I think this helmet is a solid performer, so I'm updating my rating to 5 stars. Well done, Wildhorn. Looking forward to seeing what else you guys come up with! Original Review: I've lost track of how many helmets I have. I have helmets for all sorts of different activities; even multiple helmets for the same kind of activity! I'm by no means a helmet expert, but I think I can notice certain things that set a helmet apart from others. This is a solid mid-range helmet. It's definitely not in the same category as Smith or other high-end helmets, but if you don't want to pay $100+ for a helmet, this is a solid pick. Pros: Super lightweight (don't underestimate how important this is! If a helmet is too heavy/uncomfortable to wear, you just won't wear it!) Fits well (I was between sizes and sized up so I can wear a thin beanie underneath for warmth) Ear pieces cover my ears (will be nice on cold days) without being too tight Vent, strap, and goggle holder are easy to operate, probably even with gloves on (untested as it's still OCTOBER :) ) Affordable Cons: Packaging is a little flimsy (not a big deal; it's a helmet, after all, and it ships in a beefy Amazon box anyway) Rear adjustment knob is a little loose - time will tell if the knob becomes loose after a day of riding. If it does, tightening it up takes all of five seconds. Materials seem like a little bit of a step down from high end helmets (to be expected at this price point) High end helmets have fancier safety features (like MIPS) that this one doesn't have. At the end of the day, this is a solid mid-range helmet. Great if you're trying to get some protection without breaking the bank and don't ski/board super aggressively.

Asian Fit! good for wider heads
This helmet is a great alternative to the "Asian Fit" helmets from expensive brands like Smith and Oakley. What is Asian Fit? It simply means that the helmet shape is more circular rather than a narrow oval. It's wider ear-to-ear so the width almost matches the front-to-back length. So if your head shape is more like Charlie Brown's, then 'Asian Fit' may help you get a more comfortable helmet to wear all day. My 12 year old has a big round noggin and he always complained that most ski helmets squeezed his ears. The issue is that he has a very round head and most helmets are too narrow. When he just started skiing as a toddler, he used a Bauer lil sport helmet that was designed for hockey but also rate for skiing. I also had him in ice hockey and we went through a bunch of hockey helmets that were too narrow. The Lil Sport is ROUND and fits a wider head. Of course he outgrew that and over the years we have always had to make sure to try helmets in stores to get a good fit. In desperation, I once bought a helmet that was only a little tight but he thought he could live with. By the end of a full day skiing, his ears were really irritated. My lesson: anything that slightly irritates you in the store for 10 minutes will drive you nuts after 7 or 8 hours on the ski slopes. Internet purchasing was really dicey because most helmets are much longer front-to-back than they are wide ear-to-ear. But for the Wildhorn Drift, I read in one of the reviews that this helmet was good for a wider head and after eyeballing the product photos and deciding that it was indeed shaped rounder and wider, I chanced the purchase through Amazon. Not only is my kid's head round but its big for his age so after measuring his head as instructed, I purchased an Adult medium. It turns out to be a great fit. No issues with squeezing the ears after multiple long days on the slopes. The helmet is well built, comfortable, has good airflow control, a snap holder for the goggle strap, and looks good. No complaints... in fact compliments from my kid! As my 12-yr old now follows me down black diamond slopes, I feel confident that this helmet will provide strong protection for his head. This is a good purchase - especially if you are looking for a rounder "Asian Fit" shaped helmet.

4 1/2 star helmet for me.
Great helmet all in all. I love the ear pockets and the capability of being able to use small audio speakers that fit very nicely inside. This helmet with a liner keeps your head very warm. Even with the vents open. This is a quality helmet. Amazon doesnt allow half star ratings. I give this 4 1/2 as mentioned above. And it's not due to quality. I want to see more adjustment out of the knob in the back of the helmet and here is why. Some times people utilize a baklava. Mainly for the neck area. But it goes over your head too. In my case as an adult I can wear one with a large helmet. And even a nice thick one. The helmet fits perfect still because of adjustability in the back. If it's a 32 degree day I dont need that baklava. By not wearing one the helmet is then a tiny bit loose. If I had twice as much adjustability out of the knob in the back I could adjust it up more. But I cant. It's not so loose that it's pointless to then wear. But it is a little on the loose side. Again this isnt really a quality issue. It's simply a head size thing. Maybe the medium instead of the large would work. I'm not sure. That's why internet purchasing can be difficult. Because you cant trying before you buy it. Likely it could be returned for a different size. But that has to happen before you take it up to the mountain and give it a try. So at first you may not know you have this problem. It is a nice helmet.

Stylish, Comfortable Helmet
I love my new Drift Helmet! I hope to be snowboarding a lot this season, and it's important to wear the appropriate protection. Having said that, there are a lot of helmet out there that are way too bulky or get in the way of ski goggles. This Drift Helmet is very comfortable. I have a fairly large head (often wearing ball caps at their widest setting), but I got the large and this helmet fits me great. I got it in Stone Gray. It's a little bit lighter in color than I imagined it would be, but it looks super cool. WildHorn does a great job designing products that aren't too flashy but have just enough styling elements and in the right colors to look really nice. The close-able vents and removable ear pads make this helmet extremely versatile as it can be comfortably used on freezing cold or warm spring days. Of especial importance is the sturdiness of this helmet. It feels like it will hold up well for its primary purpose. On the off chance that I take a fall and hit my head, I trust that the Drift Helmet will provide the proper protection for my noggin. Overall, I am psyched about this helmet's lightweight low profile and slick looks.

Comfortable, Secure, and Warm
I decided to spend a little more on this one, because other, more affordable ones seemed to be made with cheap materials (from reading reviews). Happy with my decision. This feels quality built. That's what you want to protect your noggin. -The adjuster knob on the back works, and tightens low enough on your head to keep it secure and not squeeze it right off. -The goggle clip holds well, and is not a cheap, breakable piece of plastic. -It's warm. I wore it night skiing in 24 degrees and it kept my ears warm enough for 4 hours, without needing a hat. -Provides enough space for goggles to fit comfortably on your face. The brim doesn't push the goggles down your face. -I got the crimson color. It looks a little lighter in person than on the website. -I haven't fallen on it while skiing, so I can't speak to the protectiveness of it, or the strength of the shell, but since it fits snug, I'm not worried about it coming loose or popping off if I do fall.

This is an awesome helmet!
This is a really good helmet. It's comfortable and warm has a sleek look and design. The ventialation is simple and works well. I took a couple medium slams and it protected my head well. Its light weight design kept it from creating undue strain on my neck during falls and freestyle minuevers. The main draw back I found was the ear flaps are not easily removed for warmer days on the slope. I teach SB lessons and on warm days you can feel every ray of sun, and weather can change rapidly from really warm to bitter cold. I would like to being able to quickly remove the ear flaps on the lift or carpet and toss them in pocket and vise versa. Personally I just used a different helmet on those days, and kept a buff in my pocket. I would definately recommend this helmet to others. It provides good protection and is in general really comfortable. I have no regrets having spent the money on this helmet.
