Good beginner mandolin
Packing wasn't much but amazon did a great job packing their box....Strings were 2 octaves lower during shipping so no snapped neck..... Set up was a must w any new stringed instrument ....Bridge plate was loose but tightened ...Dusted off and put teak oil on the neck to soften it and make it look good ....But all in all it plays great and is cheap....Gig bag is trash so get a padded bag or caseNo truss rod on neck..... Btw......Love it ..... Alotta highs and lows with sound........Great lil mandolin

For the money, it's a good buy. Sounds a little tinny. L. L.The finish is good, banjo itself is playable...good learning banjo.

Get a better one
A little bit too low cost. Cheaply sold and cheaply made. Had a loose piece of wood in the body.
