The main picture is very deceiving. When my emerald arrived after waiting for it for two months to come in the mail. I was so excited to open the package and when I opened it I realized the emerald looked nothing like the picture. I was really upset. I wish in the future you post pictures of each stone that way people can choose which stone they like. This way people can really get what they pay for. I gave this a two star because for its price you do actually get an emerald since I took it to the jeweler and he said it is emerald that has been heat treated, and polished.

The picture in the product description shows an emerald that is at least translucent with better color than what you actually get. That said, for the carat weight and price I assumed I was getting an opaque, relatively low quality gem and that's what I got. It was worth trying and it's a pretty enough stone for the money, and almost impossible to find in this size in anything remotely translucent much less transparent. That said, based on what little I do know I believe it's actually emerald... if it was more transparent I'd have been convinced it wasn't real. So value for money - meh, not bad value, not great value, but a large stone that you'd be hard pressed to find from a higher end store because of the lower grade.
