Haven’t had them original scratchings for many years, really enjoyed them

Not a patch on the original. disappointed.

Products received from Old Scool Sweets very near to their use by date. When opened they didn't taste very nice and had a stale smell to them. Second packet when opened smelt like rancid fat. I've bought these direct from good suppliers before and they don't taste or smell like this - but then they had several months before their use by date, not a few weeks like these! A return request was made to the seller, who didn't mention anything about the poor shelf life but was quite happy to refuse the return and tell me to contact the manufacturer myself. Disgusting service, would only buy this direct from a reputable supplier not Old Scool Sweets - check their other reviews - others mention about these being rancid as well!

I got as far as I opening my 3rd packet in the hope that the first 2 were just unlucky, but no... 3 packets of rancid stale awfulness. My disappointment is Immeasurable. I was so looking forward to rediscovering a favourite from my youth but then this happened. I contacted the seller to arrange a return and they insisted they need to 'investigate,' that I need to supply 'photos...' Can you believe that..? They want photos of their own disgusting rancid product. Maybe they think photos have scratch n sniff... Maybe they'll try eating the pictures. I rate the product and customer service as less than zero...

Short sell by date

I love the old kve original leaf scratchings. After visiting the black country museum and purchasing a lovely pack there, I set looking for them on the Internet. The scratchings I recieved , even though in date tasted stale and sl8ghtly rancid.I tried to contact the seller but couldn't get through Amazon's questions. A very disappointing and expensive experience.

They all looked out of date and smelt weird.

Big difference between Lard Greaves and Scratchings, if you are expecting crunchy salty scratching.. buy the other KVE Scratchings. If you want old (and I mean old) style you may like these.. but I doubt it lol.
