It works for me
Bought this to replace a damaged Manfrotto Carbon Fibre Tripod , a replacement leg and spikes cost more that this. I am impressed, it weighs less than its predessor and is higher when fully extended. in fact its taller than me , at 5'10" . I have tested it for a week on a photo trip on the lake district and its proved to be a great tool. The standard flat plate with a hook below is great in windy conditions, a loop and a karabiner keeps the tripod weighed down and solid. The Spikes help considerably here as well. I switched to the the bowl during the week, and this proved incredibly easy and instictive to use, and its stayed in place for the rest of the trip. The legs attatchment to the based were a bit tight, but a slight twist with the supplied Allen key quickly resolved that. The wide tripod base and lack of a centre colum makes it easier to carry, and you dont trap you fingers when walking. All in all I am very pleased with it , but lets see how it manages after 6 months of regular use. As it stands I would recommend it as great value, and very practical to use. Devoid of all the fancy centre colum modes, its just works. Make sure you get a good quality head, to get the best out of it.

18 months of use and still superb
So I've had this tripod for 18 months now and used it regularly, for a mix of situations (studio, macro, landscapes), and it is superb given the price. I've used it with the base plate and the leveling bowl, and both are fantastic, the only thing I'd like is a shorter handle on the leveling bowl, and bag hook, so it could be used all the time, when the legs are splayed to their lowest. The bag hook on the plate base is superb, attach a bungy and then down to your bag and superbly stable (surprisingly hang a bag in strong wind and the bag creates more movement, bungy takes out the vibration but helps pull the tripod down). The rubber feet are good, and the spikes that come with it are good, personally I upgraded to a longer set of spikes. I've yet to find a situation where I can't get the tripod stable, with the leg angles and lengths, and I've tried it at all sorts of angles (one leg sideways into a stone wall). I know some people have moaned about having to turn the locks more than 1/2 a turn to lock but it's not actually that big an issue. I've used the tripod in the sunshine, heavy rain, in a river, and even in the sea, and it has been fantastic. Having used it in the sea I've taken it apart, and cleaned the joints due to sand and salt getting in them, it was easy to take apart, the only pain was the fine thread on the joints are a pain to clear out, dried nicely and went back together with no issues with a good application of Lithum grease, and it is all good as new. The tripod is superbly lightweight, given the height and versatility it has, it is super strong, and is superbly stable with DSLR and good size lens. Added feature when weather turned rough, it mage a great frame for my tarp, to hide and stay dry. I wish there was a centre column available that dropped down between the legs, but when I contacted customer service, they got back to me within under 8 hours. There is a column but not one that drops down. I'd buy this tripod again, it is fantastic value for money, I'm actually looking at one of the cheaper ones for my son.

A superb tripod for 360 panoramas
This is the third tripod I have bought for my mirrorless Sony APS-C camera. I use it with a panorama head to take 360 panoramas. I found that the two tripods I previously tried (the two Amazon Basics models) were not stable enough for me, so I spent a lot more on this tripod. Of course with tripods you can have tripods that are lightweight, cheap, and stable, but you can only have two of these together. I think a good rule of thumb is that a tripod should be about 20% of the cost of the camera. The tripod comes with a good quality bag and with a second set of feet (I used the spiked feet as I photograph almost exclusively out of doors). The bag is longer than the tripod, allowing you to fit a tripod head to the tripod, but my panorama head is too long for this. The tripod comes with a standard base with a hook underneath (for making the tripod more stable) or with a 65mm bowl head. I use the bowl head as it allows me to level up the panorama head very quickly. I transport the tripod either on my back or strapped to the front handlebars of my bike. It is relatively light, but what it is most is sturdy. The twist locks are quickly set, with only a half turn or so to free them. All in all I am very happy with this tripod.

It’s amazing value for your money
It’s very good, stable and not too heavy but with few small issues. The first is the bowl device, not bad but mine is not very smooth when adjusting. The second is that you could argue it’s a touch tall; I’m 6’ 1’’ and at full height On level ground I need to shorten it by reducing all three legs by about half of each section, it’s a bit of a faff. Third, when adjusting the leg angle they are quite stiff to pull out. Maybe that will easy in time. Fourth, when extending the legs you need to turn the locking collars more than a half turn otherwise they can be a rough when pulling out. Lastly it’s a shame that they didn’t provide a rubber seal for the metal spikes; easily fixed however. It sounds like the tripod is not up to much but in reality as I said they are all minor carps and three of them are likely to correct themselves with use.

Good product...
1. I bought the tripod in June 2021. The first copy I received had quality issues. It was slanted and it was replaced with a new one. The tripod is sturdy, light weight compared to many in the market and comes with a easy carry bag which comes out to be handy. I have used it in all sort of conditions and it have prformed quite well. 2. The tripod worked fine for almost 3 years until last month when a tripod foot won't come out. When inpected I found out that one of the guide rings have failed and I need a spare/replacement. This is the trouble.. Innorel a certified store in Amazon but there was no way to contact them. Amazon customer service provided with details AliExpress where they could be reached out through the message centre. 3. They replied to my queries and have agreed to send me the spares for free but I pay for the postage which I think is fair. I am waiting for the parts to arrive. But so far so good. Update: 19/04/2024 The spares have arrived and the tripod is now as good as new.

It's big
Well it was time to get a replacement tripod after my old one which I had for many years gave up. I wanted one without the centre column and to be carbon fibre and not to expensive, after looking at several models I opted for this one , but boy it is big , I'm 5' 11" and with my innorel nb52 ball head on its above my head. It also goes flat to the floor which is ideal for my wildlife photography, I find it very sturdy and it is lightweight , I've seen people on YouTube swinging from it so it's very strong as well . A very good lightweight tripod , glad I got it.

Returned it
Firstly, the tripod is well made for the price, but that's the key point it's made to a price point. The tubes are not fully flush so the legs don't always move freely. The actual amount of carbon fibre vs resin is very debatable, it's more resin than carbon fibre. The tube wall thickness is not on par with with the leg diameter, in other words even the top sections seemed to have a thin wall to them, this won't impact on its strength when in use, but will certainly make the tube more prone to failure. There is flex in it even with a 5kg load, if you dont plan to mount your expensive prime lens on this then it will be fine, and it's a great tripod for landscapes. But I planned to use it for wildlife photography which often requires a heavy lens and camera combo, given the out of the bag feeling on its build quality, I had to return it, which meant waiting nearly a month to get a refund. Overall it's great value for money, and while the rated load is high, I just wouldn't trust it if you plan heavy gear on it.

Great tripod on first impressions
I bought this tripod to replace a small travel tripod I was using. The one I was replacing just wasn't tall enough for me and was no good in windy conditions, which I have to put up with up the mountians I hike. I use tripods for landscape photography, where I hike into and out of most of the locations I photograph. So weight and bulk are important issues for me. When I ordered the Innorel RT80C I done so because the stated weight was OK at 1.52kg and the height when folded of 55cm meant I could strap the tripod easily enough to my backpack and it not be a problem. The tripod is tall! I'm 6ft and when the legs are fully extended the camera is at my eye level. That is great for me. With the long legs it makes it much easier to level the tripod on uneven or rocky surfaces. Again a definite plus for me with my landscape photography. I'm heading out with friends on a hiking and photography trip to Snowdonia in Wales next month, the tripod will be getting put through its paces while we are there. I'm not expecting any issues with it, I've enough experience to tell me it's going to work great! At the price this tripod is at I think it's great. I had a Gitzo mountaineering tripod a few years ago and I regretted selling that, this new tripod would give tripods like the Gitzo a run for their money, being less than a third of the price!
