Fantastic for moms on the go
As a single mom that does deliveries for a living, this was a game changer. No more messes and spills in the car. My daughter is nine months old and took to it very well. There was no learning curve. Just make sure you keep the tubes clean and it is a miracle product in my opinion. The bottles are good quality and they're not flimsy. The tubing is nice and thick and the nipples work fine. 10/10 would definitely recommend to any mom on the go. It even comes with brushes to keep the tubes clean!

Amazing!
We got the podee system for our twins at the our baby shower, and started using them when the babies were 4 weeks old. They have been a lifesaver! It gives me some sanity time while they are eating. While it does require a constant sucking, the twins caught on quickly and have adapted flawlessly. The biggest issue we have is that the twins do spit out the nipple and then cry for it to be placed in. I find this to be not the end of the world considering i don't have to hold each and feed, as this would take forever with two and while i do it on my own. I have read some of the reviews, where the parents have given the baby the bottle and gone back to bed themselves, I definitely advise against this. The bottles definitely help with the inconvenience of things, but you should never feed your child while they are lying down (these parent's didn't specify if their children were lying down or in a chair of sorts so I assume lying down). You also want to be around and aware if your child starts choking which has happened here..my daughter sometimes sucks to much to swallow and then its a whole bunch of coughing and I need to pick her up and pat her back. Plus when your child is done eating they still need to be burped or they may be in discomfort...while the Podee bottles help with gas it does not get rid of it completely. it did help with night time feeds as I took the babies out of their cribs and propped them up on my pregnancy pillow while they ate and I did lie down while they ate. The biggest issue that my twins now 4 months, are figureing out how to hold things grab things and they often grab the straw and pull it out of their mouths...and while they are getting better at putting things in their mouths they haven't quite mastered putting it back in after they pull the nipple out!! I absolutely recommend these to anyone who has multiples because the few moments of silence and sanity are the most wonderful thing! Definitely wonderful to be able to feed them while shopping or walking or in the car. I like that life doesn't have to stop because its time to feed the babies!

So convenient!
This is an amazing contraption. I had one with my first baby and ordered it again this time around. I use it most in the car when we don’t have time to stop for feedings as they can only drink what they pull out so choking is not an issue. I will say that it is only good once they reach 5-6 months because it requires quite a bit of suction and effort for them to get anything and then keep the nipple in their mouth. The only downfall is all the pieces you have to clean, but like I said this is a convenience and not something you use for every bottle. Definitely recommend for busy parents!

They are a good idea, but not great in use because the ...
They are a good idea, but not great in use because the milk has to travel too far and the baby doesn't like sucking air. If the milk stayed up at the nipple it would work, but it drops back into the bottle instantly if suction is lost (from babies mouth). Our baby is accustomed to the regular bottles (where the milk comes out instantly), so when I tried this he couldn't do it. Basically, he sucks it up but the first 3 sucks are pure air, then the milk finally gets to the nipple but he has lost interest (thinking it isn't giving him milk so why continue), he stops and the milk goes back into the bottle. Second attempt, same thing. Basically, as soon as you stop sucking for even a millisecond the milk goes all back into the bottle and the lines fill with air that must be sucked out again prior to getting milk. Maybe with practice it could work, but our baby didn't like it, therefore neither do I. Maybe an older child would have more luck, our baby is only 4-5 months old....and he expects milk on the first, second or third suck, not the fourth....so he quits after the third suck for just a second and then tries again but has to start over... Long story short he never got any milk from this bottle ever...we are saving it in case he can use it when he is older.

Good system but leaks
We bought a set of Podee system because of the positive reviews. So far we have tried it a few times, and the results are uneven. A couple of times the baby hang on to the nipple and ate 3-4 oz without any fuss. Most of the time, however, it got spitted out constantly. Our twins are two months old. I think when they are a little older the system will be much more useful. One problem with the system is that it leaks. First of all, if you shake it to mix formula you will get some leak. But this is a minor problem. It also leaks between the ring and the adapter when the babies suck the nipple, a far more annoying problem. We tried to different ways and tightness to screw on the adapter, and the problem persisted. Now we do find an interesting solution to the leak problem. We have some 4 oz Dr. Brown bottles, which are extremely nice. We also have some cheaper Evenflo 8 oz bottles. The Evenflo bottles also leak like hell, and the nipples suck (forgiving me for the pun). However, the Dr. Brown system fits Evenflo bottles perfectly, and it doesn't leak. So this is a great deal, as Evenflo bottles are much cheaper than Dr. Brown bottles. But there is something even better: The Evenflo cap ring, even though it leaks on its own bottle, does not leak on the Podee system! It screws on the Podee bottle perfectly, and fits the adapter flawlessly. You can shake the bottle to mix formula without having to worry about leaks. The Evenflo bottle comes with an additional cap to be placed on the nipple, which also serve perfectly as a nipple holder for the Podee system (you want this unless you prefer the nipple to dangle around and drip milk/formula everywhere).
