"WOW" is the word that comes to mind. Great for adults too!! I've come to conclusion that there is no "perfect magic brush" for my hair type. Just some that are better than others and I've tried most of them. This brush stands out above and beyond the rest. I'm a male with very very long hair (down to my backside, with mixed hair type 3a & 3b). My hair catches a lot of lint, and tangles very easily. Actually the more my hair tangles (not knots) the better my curls, curl. This is why I don't brush it often. I find that even with the best "detangler brushes" my hair still gets ripped out or snapped off short grrr. To cut down on frizz I only wash my hair every so often, and brush it even less. Well I came across this brush and thought "it's worth a try, if it works on kids it should be very comfortable and work for me". I received it in a couple days (on time) and I immediately opened and used it. I was surprised and relieved that the brush does not have a "rubber like brushhead and bristles" which it kind of resembled to me in the pictures. The brush is more like hard plastic, this doesn't mean they are stiff, though the outside comb is stiff but for a good reason. The inside IS flexible. I Started at the bottom and went very slowly to work out my many tangles and knots that have built up over the last week or so, then moved up and up to the scalp. "Ahhh" were the words coming from my mouth. The larger outside tines do act like my wide tooth comb to guide the hair through it, and in very tangled areas I try to use just the side (comb part) until the tangles are relived then I use more of the main brush to help smooth out. On a side note this brush also did not cause my hair to frizz up as much as other brushes do. Took me about 20 minutes (it was very tagled as I couldn't decide what brush to buy and desperately needed a new one). I did do this brushing dry, only because I really wanted to put it to the test.... and it passed with flying colors!!! The brush DID NOT grab, tug or pull unless I went too fast, which would have happened with any brush or comb on dry tangled hair. It also did not rip my hair out instead just removed the loose hairs that were tangled in. The brush felt so good going through my thick mop & massaging my scalp lol. I do feel that with wet hair, and/or detangler, and/or with some added oil (I like coconut oil) that this brush would make easy work of even the tuffest, most messy, knotted up hair. If it can work on my dry 40 inch long hair (measured from forehead hairline swept back to bottom tips) , well it definitely will work for majority of people out there. I Can't wait to try in the shower on wet conditioned hair (How I usually brush my hair). All the best and good luck with those curls... and to FRIDA a big happy THANK YOU from a satisfied customer.

Wonderful! Does not pull at hair and hurt at all. The only brush I have found my toddler with curly hair to tolerate. It brushes all the knots out so smoothly. No idea why it took me so long to purchase!! Love all Frida products over here.

My 3.5 year old daughter has thick, wavy hair that is full of knots if we do not brush it every day. Brushing her hair is a dreaded task every day, she screams and cries and we end up both super frustrated. I have tried 4-5 different brushes with the exact same results. I bought this brush and the So Cozy curl spray and it’s absolutely game changing. I can brush her hair in half the time and with absolutely no fight. The brush bristles are so much better than the wet brush at getting in and breaking up the tangles. Her hair ends up smooth and shiny and her curls look beautiful. I cannot recommend this brush enough, I will definitely be getting backups of this because I cannot go back to our old routine.

Very hard brush

Value for the money, my child has a very long and soft, thick hair and gets tons of knots on the back of their head and this takes them all away completely pain-free. Just keep brushing with some type of detangling spray that is safe for babies.

I bought this brush because my toddler has pretty curly hair and the description sounded great. It’s not. The second this brush touched his head, even so very lightly, he was yelling ow. I tried it on my thick haired teenager, he flinched and said ow. So I tried it myself. The best way to describe the feeling of this brush is “fifty cat claws scratching your scalp”. It hurts no matter how lightly you brush. I’ve since put it in my bathroom and the ONLY reason I’m giving it a one star review is because I have used it after showering and it glides out the knots in your hair with ease and doesn’t take much hair with it. Other than that, awful brush. Don’t buy this for your kids, especially babies or toddlers.
