Easy to apply and long lasting.
I restore marine teak in South Florida for a living. I use Cetol Natural Teak frequently and it's very easy to use. I usually thin the first coat then use full strength for the second through the fourth coats(I add the extra coat due to thinking the first coat. Then I follow up with two coats of the gloss. It's quite water resistant and lasts the longest in the brutal sun here. It's got a nice color, really not orange at all. It goes on easily and smooth and it dries very quickly. Plus you don't need to sand in between coats.

Cetol Marine Stain and Teak Protectorate.
Been using this product for nearly 25 yrs. on my teak Chinese junk, and it still holds up to my expectations. This despite brutal marine environmental conditions of beating sun, winds, rains, and salty sea spray. Holds up for years before it it needs refinishing. Good stuff and it holds its color well. Multiple coats are critical tho.

Relatively easy to apply and looks great on teak furniture. Hope the finish lasts a while!
All I can rate so far is the application and initial result. Very pleased so far with results on my teak patio furniture. The color is a bit darker than "natural" on my teak, but looks good without unpleasant orange cast. Somewhat shiny without the optional clear coat additional product. Cetol product doesn't appear to separate much (if at all) in the can so stirring is minimal. Applies easily and seems forgiving in terms of brush strokes, wind blown debris, etc. If you don't keep a good "wet edge" there can be blobs and streaks, so it seems you need to go start-to-finish on a particular piece of furniture. Must avoid temptation to rush ahead with additional coat before allowing complete 24 hours of drying time. But subsequent coats definitely improve the look without deepening the color noticeably. Certainly this is way more work than a quick power washing and a wipe of teak oil, but hopefully the durability will make it worth it. Boat owners say it should last,a and I have my fingers crossed.

Premium wood finish exceeds expectations
This finish never disappoints! Used it 8 years ago on outdoor benches which are exposed to the weather year long. Finish is still intact. Latest project is an outdoor swing. The wood glows.

Teak patio furniture restoration came out awesome!!!
I purchased an old, grayed out teak table with 6 chairs. The furniture was extremely high quality but had not been touched for at least 30 years. It was rickety and completely gray. After the restoration, the furniture is absolutely stunning!! If you were to buy a set like this brand new, it would cost at least $4,000. I paid $350 on craigslist and saved a fortune restoring it myself! Here are the steps I took. #1 power wash, #2 sand completely with 80, then 120 grit sandpaper, #3 vacuum sawdust particles off and wipe gently with a slightly damp rag, #4 apply 3 coats of Sikkens Cetol Marine Natural Teak, allowing a minimum 24 hours between coats, #5 apply 2 coats of Sikkens High Gloss, allowing a minimum 24 hours between coats #7 allow everything to completely dry for about 3 days (longer in humidity) #7, grab a cold beer or glass of wine and sit back and admire you work! It's a little bit of work but completely worth every hour I put into the restoration!

Simply the very best.
Simply the best product for teak on the market. You do not need to thin for the first coat. This stuff penetrates wonderfully. It applies easily, cleans up easily and will take raw golden teak to a rich deep copper tone. Finish is semi gloss so for ease of cleaning outdoor items you should use the marine gloss top coat. Product is a rusty copper tone transparent liquid, similar in viscosity to motor oil at 60°F. If you are looking for the very best in real finishes, this is it. Apply 3 thin coats at least a day apart, and enjoy only having to "re do" your outdoor teak once a year with just a white 3m scrubby pad and a single maintenance coat. Work in a ventilated space, this stuff will eat your lungs for lunch.
