Summer in Culebra isn't cold but these gloves and the boots I also purchased were useful in the extreme. With the exception of the major beaches (e.g. Flamenco) the bottom everywhere around the island is coarse (if not extravagantly ornate)... and also inhabited by urchins every few inches. For the good of the reef and my feet and hands, I was glad I had some rubber on to keep any accidental brushes with nature from becoming cuts, rashes, or irritations. Sometimes you get bumped against something prickly. It happens. In effect, I was using them as "work gloves", not "warmth gloves". You can walk sharp, rocky paths and snorkel around spines and coral without gloves and dive boots, of course, but having the gloves and boots made things more pleasant. (Also, remember to bring a surfer's rash guard or similar shirt, if only for protection against a sunburned back and expect a LOT of sun on the backs of your calves. Haphazard application of 50+ sunscreen still left my calves scorched.)1 star off because, as others have mentioned, the suede palms dry a bit slower than neoprene. (I thoroughly rinse my gear and dry it out of direct sunlight, of course.) As it was, with a daily breeze they were dry and ready to go each morning for a week and a half. They were easy to pop on and off and presented no shortcomings in use. The suede may even have been an improvement where donning and removal were concerned. The quality of materials and construction was without fault. When I flew out, I left the gloves and boots with my buddy who rented the villa because he had been sorry he didn't have a pair. All in all, I am quite pleased.

Went on vacation to the Caribbean for a week and needed these for snorkeling/diving and they were perfect!I'm a 5'5 female with long, thin fingers made for piano playing and the medium fit me snugly and just right- no baggy areas nor were they too bulky. My boyfriend who is 5'9, has a broad, islander build and thicker hands did not fit into them comfortably as they were too small, so if you're a guy with bigger, broader hands, err on ordering a larger size.The gloves were lightweight, stretchy, and had leather-like padding on the outside for the palms and fingers. Velcro wraps on the wrists make sure the gloves don't slip off your hands and stay put. Enabled me to nimbly pick up rocks and shells from the sea floor, grip slippery ladders to climb in and out of boats, pet fish, push myself away from coral, and touch spiky, pointy objects with ease. Great protection for people with sensitive skin/hands like me who can get cut up pretty easily!The following pictures show the condition of the gloves after a week of wear and not having been thrown in the washer yet. Super durable, no rips/tears, very comfortable. Great quality product!!

This is my third pair of these gloves. Let me say, I love them. The leather inner hands are great. I have shot and handled many fish with these while spearfishing. My only complaint is the seem in the wrist will not stay together. It makes about a dime size hole. With that being said, I just sew them up with a sewing kit and put them back to work. I would give it a five, but the seem is an issue.

Good diving gloves but not "women's" so there isn't that narrow finger fit. The size chart was accurate if you can measure your finger/hand length. They are just a little "baggy" and not what I am used to. They have a nice wrist strap that you could easily attach a camera strap in for added security. Tightens up nice on my tiny arm. Also, the palm is nicely padded. Would be super for anchor-line diving or pushing off rocks. They worked great for my female friend who came snorkeling on Oahu.

Great fit. Great durability so far after 20 dives on reefs and wrecks (generally trying not to touch anything underwater). I did reinforce many of the seams with seam grip before use. I love the tight fit of the mediums on my medium/large hands. These are a basic glove design. Neoprene on the back, leather/suede on the palm and fingers. Great dexterity and great protection. Warmth was not an issue as I bought these for temps above 70F. I am a huge glove critic/nerd for diving, climbing and skiing and these pass my rigorous evaluation with flying colors.

Gloves are great to protect hands from coral and other cuts and jellyfish stings. They are very durable and fit comfortably. I use them with underwater camera and dexterity is great. 2nd purchase. In some areas restrictions apply and gloves are not allowed for reef protection. However some areas will allow gloves with fingers cut back(just so you don't touch anything on the reef. It still pays to wear these to protect the rest of your hand against sharp coral or jellyfish. 100% worth the price.

These gloves are very durable and quality made. The sizing chart worked perfectly. I thought they were going to be to small when I put them on as they fit pretty tight but once I got in the water, they evened out and acting like a second skin. I was able to move about the rocks without fear of cutting myself. I use these for both snorkeling and diving. I wouldn't recommend them for cold water but for the Caribbean, they were dynamite!

Just did mini lobster season in Florida and they were perfect. No finger cuts. Better than Deep Sea brand and $4 less.
