Great set, treu to color and plenty if cable housing to spare

Theres nothing fancy about this set/kit. But it gets the job done. It's as cheap as what comes on a Walmart bike.

My Schwinn Taff was 5yrs old, came with the partial exposed shifter routing and we all know those eventually rust. I saw these when I was upgrading and thought, lets do something different. Easy to use, lots of color choices (I was adding color and went red to match my idea) and plenty of cable, extra pieces and lets not forget the decent price. It arrived quickly, so there was no slow down on my make over and looks great with everything else I replaced. Plus side? No more exposed cables.

Shift cable housing came short in length, shorter than brake cable housing, and not enough for my bike... not sure if it's supposed to be or the pack I got was cut short by mistake

Bought and installed already, working perfectly. Needed to buy a specialty cable cutter, nothing I had was strong enough. Mind you there are two sized cables and housing, the thicker of the two is for your brakes. They give you enough to do two bikes with the double package and 5 times as many bits as I needed (cable ends, bumpers, rail connectors) so great value for the money. The blue is a bright radiate blue, looking great on my silver bike. Easy to install if you take it one cable at a time, remove the old cable but leave the housing alone and replace from one end to the other cutting housing to match your old and replace the bits in the order you take them off in. Never done it before and I was able to figure it out easily by taking my time with the first couple (you may have to YT how to get the cable out of the levers and shifters if you don't know how, they're made to be serviceable so you *can* do it yourself), after that they go in in just minutes with the proper cutters.

Very impressed with this kit. I replaced two brake cables, easily, on my kids MTB for a fraction of the cost of having a shop do the work.

These cables are just what I needed to restore a Specialized mountain bike that I was given. Literally, everything removable has needed to be replaced on it. The brake cables are double-sided so you can choose either Mountain Bike or road bike fitting. The cables easily cut with pliers. The outer cable housings are good quality. You can just about cut the brake cable housings with pliers, but I've had to order new cable cutters for the gear ones. There are plenty of end pieces and other bits to put on the cables. I'm really pleased that I ordered these ones and can definitely recommend them.
