Top notch prosumer slicer
The KWS MS-10DT is a well-built, smooth running machine that cuts meat beautifully. I've cut many cold cuts in varying thicknesses, semi-frozen beef for Italian beef, and homemade bacon. The slices are consistent end-to-end and top-to-bottom. It even cuts super-thin slices dialed down at a 0.5 setting. I chose this model for two reasons: reviews (faith/hope) that it would slice thin and even, and for the blade removal tool. After watching cleaning videos I decided it was too scary without one. This was one of the few brands in the 10” class that had it. I was disappointed that the less expensive MS-10NT didn't include one (and you can't easily add it – the tool requires matching holes in the blade). I should probably ding it a star for these but I won't because I'm so happy with the cutting performance. 1) Even with the Teflon blade, slices occasionally stick, get pulled through and flung out the back. I think a slice guard that is larger with a tighter fit to the blade would stop this. 2) The first down-facing pin on the product grip is a thick piece of plastic to keep the grip from banging on the product tray. However, when slicing a long, thin product (ex. pepperoni), this is the only tooth to grip it and it doesn't do a very good job. 3) The gap between the blade and product tray should be smaller. Combined with the length of the teeth on the product grip you're left with a substantial sized meat-end that can't be sliced. A few things others have noted: 4) You can't cut full length bacon. This is just a fact for any 10” machine. 5) Cleaning is a bit time consuming but no worse than any other slicer of this type. 6) I never had the slicer slide around. Just keep the feet and countertop very clean. 7) The slicer DOES slice completely end-to end. Just make sure you push the tray all the way (compressing the spring underneath). It might be a little easier if they had used a rubber bumper instead of a spring. All-in-all I'm happy with the machine and would recommend it.

Value For Price
I had purchased a Chef'sChoice 6150000 Food Slicer back in January 2015. It was a good slicer, easy to use and easy to clean. But it was a light duty slicer. When it finally fell apart a week ago, (Meat partially still frozen was to much of a load for the light duty slicer) I decided to hunt something down that was a little heavier duty,....yet still in my budget. After a good bit of time researching, I settled on this. The KWS Premium Commercial 320w Electric Meat Slicer 10" with Non-sticky Teflon Blade. It came in today. I unboxed the unit and was immediately somewhat disappointed. I immediately saw two scratches on the main body of the slicer. I thought about sending it back,...then decided it was just a tool. My next step was to perform an operation because of fellow reviews. I took the unit apart so I could remove the three screws holding the blade. When I got to the three screws,.....I found that they were NOT overly tight. But I was again disappointed in the plate that covers the blade. There was an edge that looks to have hit something hard. The edge was rough and I knew it would catch the product I would be slicing. Also the actual blade had an imperfection on it, that was coated over with Teflon. If I was to ever slice cheese,....this would be where the cheese would stick and start to build up. I did browse through the owners manual and as others have stated,.....it is pretty much useless. I cleaned everything up and put it back together. I then started slicing boneless chicken. These are my observations. The machine is very quiet. And the machine does slice very well. Is it a true commercial slicer? No! But you have to use common sense here. A machine that costs less than $400 will never compete with a machine that costs several thousands of dollars. Is it heavier duty than the $125 Chef'sChoice 6150000 Food Slicer? Absolutely! What I like about the slicer is I do believe that it will last me several years, especially since I am a very light user. I will perhaps use the machine 1/2 hour every two weeks. What I do not like is the blemishes that seem to have left the factory this way. (No damage to outside box what so ever.) It is also much more difficult to clean than my previous slicer. But I expect all slicers built to replica commercial slicers would have that same difficulty. In a nut shell, the reason this slicer is not re-packaged and labeled to go back to Amazon is because I believe it is still a good value for the price paid.

A great piece of equipment
I've had this slicer for a few years now and can say it is a great slicer. It is quiet, the blade is sharp, it has plenty of power, and it has handled everything I've thrown at it. I routinely shave raw venison that is slightly frozen and it preforms flawlessly. There are instances that it will throw raw meat from the blade, but I've worked in meat departments when I was young and all slicers will do this occasionally depending on what you are slicing and whether it's raw, partially frozen, or frozen. I prop up a cutting board to catch the occasional instances where this has happened.

Fist time to give a trial on this meat slicer brand. Make me disappointed right the time opening the box. The reason I chose this model because it has anodized aluminum base which seems to last longer and the blade removal. but the base was not treating well, it is showing up so many black tiny holes on the surface, what they call is cosmetic imperfection. Which is unbelievable of quality control, before shipping out they need to make sure everything is good or not. and it took 1 week for this shipping from US. Second, when is coming up with the customer support, I asked them if they can replace the new one, as this is for my wife Christmas gift, and I don't want to have a refund, they keep asking me to work with Amazon, and Amazon asking me to work with seller (playing football). And finally, have to return and get my refund. Very bad experience on this brand now. I will not recommend to anyone, who is looking for the first meat slicer like me. It's ruined my Christmas cooking plan
