Very, very close to £1000 "end game" IEMs
For comparisons my frame of reference is the following IEMs: Campfire Audio Dorado 2020 (£1000) Thieaudio Monarch MkII (£850-£1000) KZ ZS10 Pro (£45) Sources: Sony A55 Hiby R5 Gen 2 NAD M33 After my KZ ZS10s broke after less than a year, both lost all bass so possibly the bass drivers failed, I needed a replacement. I wasn't displeased with the KZs and my only complaint was that they could be quite sibilant at times, depending on the track. For most Music I listened to though it wasn't a problem but when it was there it was very harsh and shrill sounding. I purchased the FH3s in early 2022 and the difference was noticeable. In sound and in build quality. Yes the FH3s are more than 2x the price of the KZ ZS10 Pros but in audio paying more doesn't guarantee a better product or even any improvement. The gains are only marginal, typically. The build quality of the FH3 is fantastic and I find the fit the most comfortable of any IEM that I have tried. Great cable too, including the curved hook parts that go around your ear. Can be worn for hours on end with zero discomfort. The FH3 sound is superior to the KZs. A more weighty Bass, less harsh mids and smoother treble. It is quite difficult to encounter sibilance using the FH3s, not only compared to the KZs but also my Campfire Audio Dorados and they are £1000 IEMs! So the sibilance is less on the FH3s than the Campfire Audio Dorados. The Dorados have slightly better detail, imaging. The instrument separation difference really is paper thin between the FH3 and Dorado. When I say slightly better I am talking very small percentage terms, 5% at most. The Bass is nearly on a par too with the Dorados having a tad better controlled or tighter Bass than the FH3s. Similar degrees of differences when comparing the FH3s to the Monarch MkIIs. The Monarchs had the best instrument separation, layering, imaging and detail of any IEM that I have heard and they also had the most weighty and deep bass but the FH3s come very close. Unfortunately, for me, the Monarchs were too big and didn't fit properly so I sold them. In short, the FH3s compete with £1000 IEMs and the difference is 5% at most. They have great bass and are well balanced with great detail. The fit, comfort and build quality are all excellent too.

Fantastic IEMs and great value on sale
I am absolutely stoked with these. I've had a pair of KZ ZS 10 Pros for just over 3 years and I loved them for their mid range and treble with minimal base. I did purchase a Yinzoo silver cable which improved the sound dramatically and took away the sibiliance. Around August I saw the Moondrop Aria's on sale and thought I would try them out. They sounded restrained on the high end compared to the KZ's but had a good bass thump albeit a bit loose for my personal liking. The Aria's had a much more open/wrap around sound stage where as the KZ's sound was very much in my head. However I wasnt estatic about them so I returned them. I'd had my eye on these FiiO's for a while but they were always at around 120 and I couldnt justify that over my low cost audio ;) So when these were on sale, I bought them. I can honestly say these are unbeilievable for the price! There is more bass then the Aria's but its very controlled and tight, the mids are better than the Aria's but slightly less then the KZ's and the treble is excellent and very comparable with the KZ's. The sound stage is as big or slightly smaller than the Aria's but the high and resolution of the audio is much much better. The listening experience is much more enjoyable. I absolutely love these. Please note I play LDAC using my FiiO BTR3 with mostly 24bit/192k mp3 and some FLAC through my phone. Cost wise, my KZ's and the Yinzoo combo was 40, the Aria's were 73 on sale and the FiiO's were 80 on sale. Therefore if you can find a pair of these FiiO's on sale definitely buy them, if not on sale and your budget stretches then go for it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Excellent sound but beware of 'fit' and 'seal' issues
I've lived with these new IEMs for several weeks before writing a review. Firstly, the positives: Build quailty is exceptional. Heavy and sturdy and all wires and connectors are of a high standard. Excellent sound - very clear and detailed and full bass (more on that below). Very impressive separation in music representation and highly recommended for critical listening. Almost reaches audiophile level. Now the negatives: It took me ages to get these settled in and set up properly. There are multitide of different sized and spec'ed ear buds, Most are utterly superfluous. I eventually fitted the Large size that worked for me and achived that 'seal' within the ear canal that allows the bass to shine and the detail to come through. They sounded great. However.... the sturdy weight of these IEMs means that the units tend to come out of their settled and sealed position within the ear. So, any movement at all and the bass is lost and the mids and highs come through sounding shrill and tinny and frankly totally overpowering and unpleasant. On the move, the units require constant adjustment back to a sealed position. That usually lasted about 30 seconds before they shifted again the the bass effectively disappears. These are not for exercise or activities or being on the move! If you are in a set place and sitting still, they are truly exceptional. If you want these for jogging / walking / gym etc, I strongly advise caution unless you have tiny ears that will allow them to be jammed into place. Hence only four stars, when I would love to have given them a Five Star review.

Astonishingly good at this price (or any price).
I've owned several pairs of headphones and some earphones in the £240 to £300 price range but I think these earphones beat all of them, perhaps by some margin, while being small and light enough to carry anywhere. Also good for blocking out external noises (eg on the train) and sound leakage (I expect) is minor so you don't disturb others. It looks like they need less power to drive than most headphones or earphones - useful for preserving phone battery life. When I plug these into my iphone I can set the volume a lot lower than with other headphones to enjoy the same sound level. The only possible flaw I can see is they are more fiddly to fit in your ears than other types of earphone or headphones - but probably this is a big part of why they sound so amazing and block the world out so well. Awkward say if on a flight and you think you should check what the latest tannoy announcement is. So they are best suited to when you want to really get immersed in music - when they are simply perfect. I use mine to listen to many sorts of music on spotify at the top sound quality level via an iphone - and the sound is superb. I hear lots of things in familiar tracks that go unnoticed with lesser earphones. Note that for the above setup which lightening to 3.5mm adapter you use dramatically effects how good the sound is. Alas Amazon tend to cancel my reviews if I mention other items they sell so I can't recommend one (well they refer me to a massive essay on every possible reason my review has been blocked - so it's very hard to figure out how useful I can make this review). The other possible downside of these earphones is they are so good and immersive that when listening to great music, if you shut your eyes, you won't notice if the world ends! Well except when your sound source stops. So use in a safe space.

Great sound quality
I recently purchased FIIO FH3,had the pleasure of pairing the FiiO FH3 IEM with the LG V60, and I must say, this combination delivers an audio experience that is nothing short of spectacular. As an audiophile, I’ve always been on the hunt for that perfect synergy between source and headphones, and I believe I’ve found it. The FiiO FH3 IEMs are known for their exceptional sound quality, and when paired with the LG V60, they truly shine. The V60’s Quad DAC brings out the best in the FH3s, delivering a sound that is rich, detailed, and immersive. The bass is deep and punchy without overwhelming the mids, which are clear and natural. The treble is crisp and extends beautifully, providing a balanced sound signature that is a joy to listen to across various genres of music. The FH3s are not only sonically impressive but also well-built. The ergonomic design ensures a comfortable fit for long listening sessions, and the build quality feels premium. The LG V60, with its sturdy design and excellent battery life, complements the FH3 perfectly, making it a reliable companion for both daily commutes and extended listening sessions at home. What really stands out about this combination is the effortless way the LG V60 drives the FiiO FH3. The phone’s built-in Quad DAC delivers high-resolution audio with ease, ensuring that you get the most out of the FH3’s capabilities. Whether you’re streaming music or playing high-quality FLAC files, the audio output is consistently top-notch. The FiiO FH3 IEM paired with the LG V60 is a match made in audiophile heaven. This duo delivers an amazing quality of audio that will satisfy even the most discerning listeners. If you’re looking for a portable setup that doesn’t compromise on sound quality, this is it. Highly recommended!

Trust me and thank me later!
It is time to throw away your phone branded earphones, Bluetooth, Pro version or otherwise. Combine these awesome IEM’s (at this price bracket they are mind blowing) with Fiio’s UTWS5, (Advanced MP3 store) which has an independent DAC built-in, and you can thank me later! For approximately £200.00 you will wonder why you followed like sheep the rest of the world wrapped up in having everything Apple or Samsung etc… Fiio literally make superb products (selective) at affordable prices, that easily compete with heavily overpriced namesake rated items. As others have already said, you need to put these on, to understand why there are so many ‘wows’. Granted, they are not to be compared with the likes of Fiio’s FA9 or FH9, but when it comes to having a true taste of what hi-res IEM’s are capable of achieving, then I guarantee you can’t go wrong with a pair of these! For those of you that care: These IEM’s performed extraordinary well with pop, swing, soul, RnB, hip-hop, reggae, and generally any type of music that has strong vocals. Soundstage isn’t amazing, but it still produces ample crisp sounds, where instrumental separation was above satisfactory. Classical music the ‘balance’ is missing, but the dynamic range does slightly make up for this, by allowing the feeling your seated in a poor spot in the theatre, but in the theatre nonetheless. Performed well with Indian music, epically old classics; the bass isn’t overwhelming and doesn’t drown out what the IEM’s set out to achieve; a rich, powerful sound, with clarity. Value for money: 10/10 Comfort: 8/10 Weight: 8/10 Sound: 7/10 Elegance: 7/10 Pleasure: 8/10

FIIO knocks it out of the park again
I was a first time buyer of IEMs so I bought a pair of KZ ZAX based on reviews, and though they were great value for money, after a while the harshness of the top end began to grate on me. Figuring if I spent double that amount on a replacement pair of IEMs I could find a significant upgrade, I began an exhaustive research, read countless articles, watched loads of videos and eventually chose the FIIO FH3 (not wanting to spend more than about £120). Overall impressions: well, I have the FIIO M11 dap and the FIIO BTR5 Bluetooth Amp and they’re both superb, so I trust FIIO to make a fantastic product. And I reckon this is the best IEM for the price. The difference between this and the KZ is immediately apparent. Bass is really powerful, especially the sub bass. But it’s never overpowering. I also use the Poweramp app graphic equaliser if the bass is a bit too much. This isn’t just an IEM for bass heads though, the mids and trebles are crystal clear without being too shrill at times which I found with the KZ ZAX. The only criticism is a personal one which might not bother some people. The cable that comes with it is obviously of good quality but is too stiff for my liking. I just couldn’t stand having the leads touching my face and neck constantly. So I replaced them with a better one from Amazon with a thin, floppy rope-like quality that is perfect for my needs - I can put them on and forget I’m wearing them. Plus, changing to a balanced 2.5mm cable gives me more power than I could possibly need, even on Low Gain setting with my M11. Overall these are a fantastic buy, and the only downside is that they make you wonder what the top range FIIO IEMs sound like!
