great product
As an oil painter, linseed oil is a must-have in my studio, and I've been consistently impressed with Winsor & Newton's Refined Linseed Oil. It's a reliable and high-quality product that does exactly what I need it to. I primarily use linseed oil for thinning my oil paints, and this refined version from Winsor & Newton works perfectly. It thins the paint smoothly and evenly, allowing me to achieve the consistency I want without affecting the color or vibrancy. It helps with blending, glazing, and creating smooth transitions in my paintings. I also appreciate that it doesn't significantly alter the drying time of my paints, which is important for my process. The 75ml bottle is a good size – it's enough to last me a while, but not so large that it takes up excessive space in my studio. The bottle itself is well-designed and easy to pour from, which is always a plus. While there are other brands of linseed oil out there, I keep coming back to Winsor & Newton. They have a reputation for quality, and this refined linseed oil is a perfect example of that. It's a staple in my studio, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to other oil painters, whether they're beginners or experienced artists. It's a reliable and consistent product that delivers excellent results.

Spreads Great
I use this glazing to soften a painting and to spread the paint when I am blocking in backgrounds. Very nice product. Cheers

Around for a long time, speeds drying of artist oils
I’ve used various alkyd mediums to speed trying of oil paint on my canvas and panels. Liquin works, it just does. Use in well ventilated space, or en plein aire. I always have Liquin in my pochade box. Tried and true.

Good quality
It came a little smaller than I expected, but it’s because I didn’t check the ounces. Lol. I always get the medium size. I love using linseed oil for my paintings because it’s smooth, and works well. Not sure if I would pay a premium for the brand, but I’ve used this medium for years now. There’s no color difference and the smell is faint. Pretty good value for money.

Great texture and perfect dry time
This has revolutionized my oil painting! I have the perfect combination of blending time and dry time. This detail medium gives me opacity and fine control by making the paint silky smooth. By the next day I can layer fresh color without inadvertent blending. If you’re like my and tight on commission or show deadlines, give this a try. I know you’ll love it!
