LBH Market 5 Fr Feeding Tube Kit

This tube/syringe has been hugely beneficial to both of us - my foster kitten's health and life and my own mental sanity. I am fostering a 10 day old kitten that has consistently failed to gain weight and has only a weak suckling response. Syringe feeding him 4-5 mLs every 2 hours has become a slow, messy, dreadful task for both of us. However, this tube arrived the same day as ordered (wow, thank you!) and was miraculous in effectiveness; it saved us both so much unhealthy stress and anguish and at last, prevented the high potential for aspiration. I can now be confident of the exact amount of formula given, and that I am not overly stressing-out the kitty. Tube feeding is quick, clean and less taxing on the animal (and caretaker) vs bottle/syringe feeding with a poorly suckling neonatal kitten.

I have a very sick cat not tolerating anything by mouth, great product as a nasogastric tube wish it came with the lube for easier insertion but I had some ready for placement. I was able to insert it and give my cat medicine and feed. I’ve placed many before that’s why I am confident doing this at home. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be careful using this product on your own as you can insert this improperly into the airway and cause your cat to aspirate.

Perfect size for kittens and a must have for neonates. Tube feeding saves little lives but does require a bit of skill. Must have for rescuers who fosters neonates I keep one in the car just in case

Try to marker the mls amount because the numbers dissapear after one wash and dry. I still recommended, this has really helped feeding my toy breed puppy that can’t suckle properly. Clean the tube immediately after use so milk doesn’t clog.

By the time I received these I didn't need them anymore so I haven't used them yet but they look like they're good quality and everything came like it was supposed to so I'm optimistic and will update this post if anything doesn't work right or is faulty. If you don't hear back from me then that means it all worked out fine:-) I'm giving five stars as I would most likely buy again

When I had foster kittens that weren't thriving, we needed to tube feed them. This kit contains the correct supplies, which is great! The size and volume of both the catheter and syringe are perfect for orogastric intubation of newborn kittens for supplemental/replacement feedings. My only concerns about the quality are how quickly the measuring markings rubbed off with frequent washing. If you're using volume in the syringe to track how much or how quickly you are feeding, eventually this syringe is useless. My other complaint is that you cannot buy these pieces separately which makes the cost very high. I could not find an identical catheter anywhere online but was able to easily replace the syringe. Paying $12 for the set when individual catheters and syringes are <$1 each is frustrating. I wound up asking my veterinarian to prescribe us replacement catheters and syringes which wound up being significantly less expensive than purchasing this set again.

The item itself looks good on a first view (did not have chance to use it yet). Giving it 3 stars because I've paid an extra for an express shipment and got it almost a week later than the promised date.
