Excellent torch for many uses
This is what I'd consider the ideal torch. I primarily use this for 4th of July to light fireworks. There is not a better tool for the job, bar none. I've used every kind of ligher, punks, and even road flares. It's a large powerful flame that instantly ignites when you pull the trigger, and instantly goes out when you release the trigger. You can adjust the flame from a decent size to quite powerful(for a blow torch). It is well constructed, heavy but not overly so, and withstand abuse very well. It's even been contaminated with a lot of sand at the beach several times and once you blow it out it is perfectly fine. I've only used this torch for about 13 months, but it still works as well as day one. Lots of power for soldering and brazing as well, but I'll be honest this is my fireworks torch. It's very efficient, one propane canister can light hours worth of fireworks because it only uses fuel when you are holding the trigger, which isn't long since lighting even the largest fuses or sparklers is a breeze. I've also used it to sear meat after sous vide but I have a much more powerful tool better suited for that job (it's a huge flame that's not as concentrated), but this is 10x better than your standard butane culinary torch.

Great quality, works as advertised.
Works great for the regular propane tanks, fits in your hand nicely and is very easy to use. Locking the flame on is great for heating up objects with a pliers, and the regulator means it can be used up side down.

Great if you need adjustability, otherwise stick to the TS4000
Love this torch. Solid and heavy, these last forever. The adjust-ability is great and the flame shape is perfect for both delicate and aggressive heating tasks. However, if you just want a torch to start fires, or blast a stubborn bolt with heat, go for the TS4000 version. It has an aggressive flame and just starts without having to wonder if the knob was turned up, down or off.

🔥 "Best Torch Ever – Powerful & Easy to Use!"
I absolutely love the Bernzomatic TS8000 Trigger Start Torch! From the very first use, I was impressed by how powerful yet precise this torch is. The instant trigger ignition makes it incredibly easy to start, and the adjustable flame control gives me total precision whether I’m soldering, brazing, or even doing DIY projects around the house. What really stands out is how reliable and efficient it is – it heats up quickly and gets the job done faster than other torches I’ve tried. The ergonomic design makes it comfortable to handle, even during longer projects. If you’re looking for a high-quality torch that combines strength, safety, and convenience, the TS8000 is absolutely worth it. I can’t recommend it enough! The Bernzomatic TS8000 is hands down the best torch I’ve ever owned. Instant start, super powerful flame, and very easy to control. Comfortable grip and top-notch performance every single time. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Good Quality Torch
I have always used the old style torch with the separate flint starter. This is so much better with the trigger start and no need to constantly turn off the bottle flow while I'm working. I love this Bernzomatic torch.

Safer with a large diameter tank.
This is a 4-way review, perhaps most relevant to Sous Vide Cooks: 1) Heat Gun, 2) torch, 3) Searzall, 4) Fan Nozzle First purchase, the Porter Cable PC1500HG electric heat gun, but found it lacking for finishing meat cooked Sous Vide. At the time of purchase, I was not aware of the Fan Nozzle. However, it is a great heat gun. Cost, $28.30 Next purchase, the popular Benzomatic TS8000 torch and the companion Searzall Torch Attachment. The torch is a great replacement to my old propane torch, particularly the instant on/off, and the Searzall adds functionality as shown in numerous Youtube videos. Cost, $40 torch, $75 Searzall, total $114. Then I discovered the Porter Cable Fan Nozzle that fits the Porter Cable PC1500HG heat gun, making it almost as efficient as the Searzall and Torch for searing meat. AND I can use the Porter Cable heat gun indoors with the meat on a cheap, steel “jellyroll” pan, which I usually place on my gas range just in case some hot air strays beyond the edges of the pan. Put the nozzle a fraction of an inch above the meat, and it sears rather quickly. Cost, $11.44. Yes! I paid 10x the cost of the nozzle for the Searzall and Torch! I will sometimes use the Searzall, but only when I have enough searing to justify taking the task outdoors. Most of the time, the time for moving everything outside, getting the torch from the garage, returning the torch, and moving back indoors makes it just as efficient to use the electric heat gun indoors, perhaps more so. All work great products, but sometimes I think that had I known then what I know now, I could have saved $114. However, the Searzall is hotter than the torch and covers a larger area.

Great item
This torch is solid and super easy to use. The trigger‑start really makes a difference — lights instantly without struggling. It feels sturdy in your hand and gets hot fast, so it’s great for soldering, brazing, plumbing jobs, or even small DIY tasks around the house. If you want a reliable torch that’s simple and powerful, this one’s worth it.
