I was about to click on “buy” on a $200 iron and thankfully I didn’t. This one was about $40 and does everything the expensive ones do. It’s 1800 watts, heats up quickly, the temperature is easy to set, and it shuts off automatically. It is quite heavy and it doesn’t raise automatically off the fabric like the fancy ones do, so I place it on a silicone pad when I’m finished with it. The ceramic surface is a bit different that I am used to. Not quite as slick but on the other hand, neither starch or fusible interfacing sticks to it. I haven’t had to clean it once and the surface still looks brand new. I use my iron a lot because sewing is my hobby. I wanted to wait to write a review because I was concerned that for what I paid for it, it might not last. I’ve had it for 8 months now and it isn’t leaking and it’s still working beautifully. I usually buy a new iron every few years because I use them so much, so this is a major savings for me. I like to take my time, do my research, and then buy the best quality I can afford, so hoping my review is helpful for someone else.

foes exactly what it is supposed to do - good product

Great for my iron to lay on while hot. Always had my iron standing and it fell off board a couple times ..so worth it if you still iron like me sometimes....especially when you buy new....get those store wrinkles out.

This is not exactly what I wanted, something smaller and round so I can place a hot iron on its base, but, this will work.

This product is very flimsy and might not stand for a hot iron to lay flat on it.

This a a pretty cool gadget. I always end up knocking off my iron because I have it setting upright OR/ burn the iron cover. This allows you to set the iron down flat and keep it flat not upright. No more unplugging the iron constantly so you don't knock it off. I really like this pad.

Wish I got one a lot sooner used it quite a few times and it’s brilliant no scorch in my iron board cover definitely recommended good quality and not a bad price and I think it’s gonna last me years if not I will buy one again
