ICO Stainless Steel Egg Topper and Perfect Egg Opener for Soft Boiled Eggs, Egg Cracker for Hard Boiled Eggs

Honestly, do I really need this? NO. But do I enjoy it, and use it every-single-day? YES! It does help with taking the top off, but let's be honest, it's also fairly easy to do this with a normal teaspoon. What this DOES do, however, is make the preparing of my soft boiled egg an event, a moment, a mini ceremony that I really enjoy and look forward to. It also really does greatly reduce the amount of shell that will end up in your mouth when you crack your egg. It doesn't cost a lot, just get it! :)

Works very well, creating a thin smooth cut through the shell. The only exception is if the shell is cracked during the cooking process, it tends to aggravate the cracks - but it still creates a great cut

Hold the egg in your hand. Pull the plunger and release. Voila! When you pull the tool away slowly the vacuum pulls the egg top off without breaking the egg white. I was able to scoop the egg out while. MUCH better than a knife, spoon or those circular saw-toothed egg cutters. Very clean break with no jagged edges or shell. Not sure why others had problems It works great for me.

I was very excited to get this product so I would not have to use a butter knife like a guillotine. However, upon receiving this product and trying it on many soft boiled hard boiled eggs it never really broke all the way through the shell, and in addition to that, the shell never came off easy like in one piece in the end there were many more small fragmentsthat got into the egg because I had to do multiple times to get through the shell . disappointing unfortunately I was looking forward to it. In addition to that. It seems to be made well. Maybe we have mutant eggs in this area . We usually get a higher grade egg and not the lowest grade. Maybe the shell is thicker. One key note is it’s definitely a one time use per egg if you use it more than that the whole egg cracks. I also use the plunger all the way up to the top so it was a full plunge. I also tried both ends of the eggs to see if it make a difference

The item is composed of: 2 cups to hold 2 boiled eggs, an ingenuous gadget to cut the eggs top, 2 tiny spoons to eat the eggs. It's perfect to have on a small breakfast table. My box came with 1 spoon, only. I wrote to the manufacturer asking for a second spoon. It was sent at once. So this is a company that I trust. I'm very satisfied with the item and I recommended it to friends.

Does not work great on pasture raised eggs

I saw it on the internet and bought it for a meme. I did NOT expect this thing to work as well as it did, but wow. It's very easy to use, cracks the egg along a very straight line (with tiny ridges, of course, but negligible) and it even has a small indent at the end that helps you remove the "cap" you just broke off. Tiny nuisance is that the egg whites tend to break off along with the cap, so you need to scoop it out once with the spoon, but I cut off that part anyway, so no problem. If you enjoy eating soft-boiled eggs, this thing will make the whole experience a lot more enjoyable.
