Everything I was looking for; comfortable, durable and they don’t slip
I love these shoes! I’m a woman who finds men’s hiking boots/shoes fit me better than women’s. I have to use corrective custom orthotics and I need a shoe that holds its shape. I can’t wear sneakers or slippers so I basically only wear hiking boots/shoes. I need a wide toe box and Keens in general have roomy toe boxes. I’ve had Keen ankle high boots for years and I love them but they’re not exactly good house shoes. I wanted a pair of hiking shoes that I can wear only around the house and that I can slip on and off. I tried several other brands before finding these and they’re by far the best and most comfortable for me. The toe box is roomy, my orthotics fit inside perfectly, they’re relatively light weight (compared to my Keen hiking boots but I wouldn’t say they’re the lightest hiking shoes I’ve ever worn. They aren’t the heaviest either.) and they slip on and off easily without being so loose that they slip off on their own. They’re true to size too. I’m a men’s size 9. I bought a size 9 and initially they were snug but they’re leather so you want them to be a bit snug because they’re going to stretch some. I’ve been wearing them for several hours daily; they’re perfect now and very comfortable. It didn’t take long to break them in and I’m sure they’d be too loose if I had bought a larger size. I have worn them without socks briefly (just when I need to answer the door quickly and I’m not wearing socks) but they chafed my skin around the top of the shoes (just under my ankles) so I wear socks with them most of the time. My foot fits fine with tube socks, ankle socks and thin wool socks but very thick socks would probably make my shoes too tight and I wouldn’t want to stretch the leather. The leather is now supple and the shoes are very durable and comfortable. I’m very happy with my purchase and would absolutely buy them again.

Perfect after a little stretch, remember these are actually leather.
I absolutely love these shoes. They are the most comfortable to walk around in for long periods and no rubbing. They can be tight out of the box, but I've found for me (size 12), when I get a new pair I just shove a water bottle into the shoe for a few days to stretch it a bit. After that it fits perfectly and never have an issue for the life of the shoe. Proper way would be to use a standard shoe stretcher, but same deal. Don't write them off just because they feel tight up front or uneven. Real leather means they won't be perfectly consistent after sitting around in unknown climate, it's on the user to break them in.

Stitching came out
Loved the shoe but stitching came out on toe near arch. Returned and will reorder.

I like these shoes . I ordered the same size as I had before and are a little on the tight side. hopefully they stretch in time.

Runs small
I really like the look and comfort of Keen footwear, but this one model runs way too small, perhaps a size to a size and a half small. Had to return them. Quality is, as always, outstanding by examining the material, stitching, etc.

Amazing alternative to other big bands
Absolutely amazing pair of dependable, durable, and effective “hiking boots” in a slip on form factor. Many years ago I had a similar in style pair of Merrell Moab - very similar in nearly every way. Those shoes lasted me for YEARS! Only replaced as the tread was literally gone. Got another of the same Merrells and within a couple weeks the seams were tearing and the cloth part where you skip your heel along was ripped and the foam exposed. These Keens are a few months old now and have minimal wear after daily wearing in all sorts of conditions.
